@@tonyrivas8952 I was soooo excited! But im holding out for N52 XR. Glad you got your N48 tho! So close to pulling the trigger but I've got a 30s1p battery pack going into a brand new vesc XR build so it only makes sense for me to get more torque because the speed is already going to be insane. Holding out and crossing my fingers! Seeing the N48 restock tonight gives me some hope that the n52 isn't too far behind!

Im confused about the bearing options? How come if i pick nsk bearings i get different color choices? Could it be that they are pre inserted into the hubs?

Both the Meat Pack and stock GT pack are 18s2p 21700 configurations, however the Meat Pack currently uses Samsung 50s cells while the stock GT pack uses Molicel p42a cells. The Meat Pack should get about 20% more range than a stock GT due to its higher amp hours. (10Ah vs. 8.4aH) Stoked to see it looks like we can fit 21700 packs in the XRC with maybe just a little modification! Let the GTV drop ins begin.

18s2p 21700 p50b, this pack will be smaller than 18s2p 21700 50s ME4T pack, so it may be able to fit in that box.

Good point, 50s cells are slightly longer, not sure how much clearance is needed but the 1mm saved from something like a P42A pack may be just enough 🤔

The gts stator with gt hub magnets is the fastest combination with a sacrifice on torque

Correct, though pretty minor, GTS stator is only very slightly higher KV than GT stator. Main difference is the lower resistance and better efficiency, resulting in better thermals. Unfortunately, XRC firmware seems to use no field weakening, so the board's actual top speed before nosediving is lower than GT

@AlexLepoutre Yes, the magnet strength has much more effect on that torque vs top speed relationship than the stator kV does. N52 would be a good deal torquier in the low to mid speed range, but with slightly lower top speed (nosedive speed). If you care more about preserving the top speed (often riding well past pushback), then an N48 hub, or N42 if you can find one, could make more sense

I have a GTS stator inside a GT hub, in my GT-V. gives me better thermals, faster acceleration, higher top speed, weaker brakes, lower torque. somebody will make a larger XRC batt box or mod an existing Or make a M3at pack w/smaller cells. Robert lookin more & more comfy in these vids. wuv u dudes 💜 🎉✨️

But we definitely also found that it was powder coated in this vid (@8:18), so not sure what happened there haha. Either way, everyone's right, it's powder coated 👍

With a slightly modified pack the most xr rails could fit is 16s ..to get 18s it will have to be split pack with 4 cells in control box

@Kay0Bot Not sure what you mean or how that relates to what he asked, but just want to clarify that for DIY builds, you can fit up to 20s2p 18650's, or with a Torque Box, 18s2p 21700's, within the XR frame without going split pack. FM makes their packs a bit thicker though, so for the XRC they went with 18s2p 18650's. Either way, you can easily fit more than 16s in the XR frame

I’m still on the fence on the XRC, it is definitely an awesome board, I already rode both rail versions and I am super grateful that FM is going back to this form factor. The charge port being so close to the edge of the rail still makes me feel like it was a rushed design. Maybe I’m just being overly cautious but I still remain very hopeful for future generations of boards 🛞🖤🙌🏼 I wonder what would happen if you put a GTS stator in an original XR hub? Can someone please put the GTS stator into an original XR and add a meat pack battery for science purposes 🛞🔋🧑🏽🔬

I don't think it was a rushed design, it seems like it was the only way to keep the original box in a thinner rail without raising the foot pads.
