Hi!! Thank you so much for sharing your videos!! I used to work at Subway!! I loved it and watching your videos makes me miss it 😔 But unfortunately I had to quit because they needed me to help out at a store that was so much further away of a commute and I couldn't afford it...but I do miss the store I started at. Now I am making more, but if I had a chance to work or just help out at the Subway I started at again I definitely would!!

I’m confused bc at my job we don’t take all the containers out for the night we just put lids on them. I think that’s bc our food line thing is chilled as like a fridge
@warven16592 жыл бұрын
I've worked on a food chain kinda like subway (like with a line and cooking in front of customers) and we did the same thing, just lids and done, mainly because our line was literally above a fridge, so the place where we store the food line was connected directly to the fridge below. Maybe that's why Milad keeps them at the back fridge at night
@raphaelkap2 жыл бұрын
Milad's is too, he's said so before.
@pot_hockets2 жыл бұрын
I worked at local sandwich place similar to subway and we had to take everything to the fridge at night and refresh the containers in the morning. Also did you guys see in the video that they stored a majority of those containers on the floor in the walk-in👀
@warven16592 жыл бұрын
@@pot_hockets yees, but I get it tho, sometimes my store also struggled to get the whole store inventory in the fridges, even more when it's delivery day. It's not that good leaving things on the floor, but I guess sometimes you need to.

How are you able to stack food on the walk in floor and still pass inspection ??🧐🧐
@bretthibbs60832 жыл бұрын
they don't or I should say we don't cause I work at a subway where I live we put the food either on the shelves in the cooler or where I work and at every subway there's a fridge under the back counter up front and we put the food there. never mind I just saw that the food on the floor and I don't know why they are doing that cause if the health inspector came and saw that they would have given them a violation
@Linda76472 жыл бұрын
@@bretthibbs6083 Yep, a major one. I've worked in several restaurants and you never, ever store food on the floor of a walk-in fridge or freezer. Or on the floor anywhere, for that matter. 😵💫

@@bretthibbs6083 right, at my subway when we close we just stack all of the food onto the retarder and roll it into the cooler. it's never okay to stack food on the floor like this, I honestly can't believe they haven't been called out for this

@sadegho46682 жыл бұрын
So basically in a busy store it’s almost impossible for something to not be used before it’s expiration date, we have a chart and every cambro gets labeled and we know the date and time it was made and who made it, if something is not used by the date it’s supposed to be, we’ll just throw it away, but again it rarely happens like almost never.

Milard - can you make a Vietnamese banh mi (sandwich)? The typical Vietnamese banh mi includes a variety of meat (headcheese, cha lua (a type of sausage), etc.), but you could use the cold cut combo at Subway. Banh mi also typically include pate, pickled carrots and daikon, and cilantro, which I know Subway does not have - but I figured you could be creative with it (for example, use pickles in place of the pickled carrots and daikon). Note: Instead of cold cut combo, you could also use egg and Maggi sauce (could substitute with soy sauce).

If he cleans the knife with the paper he dosent use it if dosent clean the knife with the paper he uses it to wrap the sandwhich
@gtclips43642 жыл бұрын
I don’t know if he discussed this or not but one thing I observed that if the sub is loaded with veggies he tends to use the paper he used to prepare the sub in case some of the veggies fall on the paper.
@erisamtf2 жыл бұрын
as a subway worker myself I can agree with reaper. But. There's also another reason. If the sandwich is very large and hard to fold it isn't easy to pick it up normally with just the bread, so picking it up by the paper is a lot easier.
@EpicGamingFeed2 жыл бұрын
you're actually supposed to wrap without the sandwich paper, but i have to use it when its a loaded sandwich to be able to close it
