Those old case's, just keep on going!
@anthonyhengst29083 жыл бұрын
@@trinitydairy I can attest to that. Only thing wrong with our 630 is it could use bigger wheels. It does tend to get hung up on anthills but for power on the blower it does just fine and it does fit inside the barn. We drive it right through when the barn cleaner breaks down.

Great video as always, and you’ve got a nice herd of heifers! I see you’re closing in on 15K subscribers, congratulations! Wasn’t that long ago you were doing a giveaway for 10k. If you’re taking suggestions for content, a video explaining how the silo unloaded works (how the cord wraps going up and down, and how the pickup rotates and the chute to the door remains stationary….) could be good for some viewers. Free suggestion for what it’s worth. Thanks for sharing your experiences with all of us!

We had two 20ft vandals unloaders on grandpas farm and a 16ft on a rented farm. They were good simple units. Most of the time we had to put one of the weights on the drive wheels. Usually we had to put the other out above the adger once we got down in the silo. I don't recall ever breaking a pin in the drive line. We buried the drive wheels plenty of times though.
@trinitydairy3 жыл бұрын
I've never sheared a pin on this one but the van Dale in the other silo shears pins on the drive wheels quite often .

Me and my friend went to a dairy farm and removed the silo unloader and the conveyer also it was fathers day weekend hotter then hadies. Loaded all onto a big gooseneck and drove 4 hours home. It was a long weekend. Being in those silos is no fun! Be safe up there

Good to see the old b back in action this is a guy from Western PA that watches you I've had my be apart all summer. And we are slowly coming back together now engines back on fully functional got it together a week ago last Friday so coming almost 2 weeks now and we hit some hay down and some good weather to make it over that weekend used it a lot in the hay make sure everything was loose going to start well again and so on the since it's working good we figured we treated to a new starter converter to 12 volts so now we're waiting to get it back and in the meantime we're prepping it for paint and boy it's not like doing NH m or c you got to get them wheels off and then get in there and clean the wheel dish up and clean the final drive up we had an issue with the one final drive I thought we had a bad bearing or bad seal turns out it was just loose gaskets got them tightened up startedto degrees at the left hand side this afternoon supposed to be nice a couple days we want to get full grain ground ready and then be damp again Saturday hoping to get back at it degrees the other side and finish up the axle housings underneath and so on get it ready to paint get a sunny day next week and some time we'll probably finish painting it get the detail set on have it ready to go back to work your sounds good good to see it running talk to you later

How much hp do you need to run those silage blowers?
@trinitydairy3 жыл бұрын
I'm not really sure what a minimum HP would be, I would guess, about 40hp on a smaller setup like this, haylage blows a lot harder than corn silage, so you would probably want, more HP for that.

Boehm farms calls green chopping: mecanical grazing.
@flossdaly82743 жыл бұрын
Why do you green chop for the dry cows. Why not feed silage. Questions from a city slicker.
@trinitydairy3 жыл бұрын
Just to make the silage last longer, and it's a good way to get rid of the weeds in the new seeding.

@@trinitydairy you always have a spot by the door that needed a little more plaster or they didn't sit the door frame out just enough, it happens! O a egg shaped silo is not good, that can be hard to get unloaders to work right in some times!

Why don't you have people get up there to pack the silage down. It would make better silage, would it not. Been a very long time since I worked up-right silos. Blessings..
@trinitydairy3 жыл бұрын
I no longer have the piping to hang in there, or enough help. It still makes nice silage.
@jeeveswooster69223 жыл бұрын
Simply need higher moisture silage to pack better and make it more air tight.
