I’m going to disagree. They are talking about the pineal gland. The pineal gland when activated can act similar to a radio, picking up light waves of information, enabling you to perceive and download unseen data, which is why it’s referred to as the third eye. Also having the ability to turn the melatonin molecule into DMT, causing imagery and colors…third eye. The pineal gland has photoreceptors, rods, cones..There are several reasons why it’s called that which are not brought up in the video. Proper knowledge is important.

You sound about as goofy as those people that get influenced by a set and setting in Peru and think they had a mystical experience that told them what to do in life during an ayahuasca trip. You talk about DMT, then about colours and the pineal gland convert melatonin into DMT, what? DMT is taken extrinsically and has an effect on various neural pathways and brain plasticity. I’ve done absolutely huge DMT psychedelic trips, where I had full out NDE experiences. Years later, I was even in a coma for 2 months following a brain injury from a fall into my head. None of these experiences had me believing any voodoo about the pineal gland simply because of I didn’t let stupidity influence my experience. It’s always funny that from the the ayahuasca trips and kundalini so called dmt releases, the Indian gurus of Peruvian shamans haven’t done squat for themselves or their countries other than earn a living off gullible white Americans. I’d be absolutely a dimwit to think that some shaman, guru or Egyptian script understands basic science better than I do, when they didn’t even finish modern high school. My first psilocybin trip was 12g of golden teachers. Don’t get me started on DMT and colours.

He who feels it, knows it. Anyone who has truly activated their third eye has felt it. It’s not a matter of belief, it’s a matter of knowing through the experience of feeling it. Just as you know a massage feels good because you’ve experienced it, felt it. It feels like pressure has been released from your brain. This you get this almost ticklish kind of feeling at the front of your head just above the brow and between the eyes. That feeling then permeates through the center of your brain and to the base of your skull where the spine and brain meet. Respectfully, I disagree. I've been through this awakening, opened my 3rd eye, and it's undeniable. Our external understanding of the world can absolutely limit our inner-standing of reality...I know, I used to be a scientist, but then something triggered a spiritual awakening, and I followed that path. I read that somewhere and I was going to comment on it. Thanks for mentioning it. I was going to do a search to find confirmation but don't have the time right now. But if indeed it does have rods and cones like the eyeballs have, then it certainly could give us the "perception" of light. And the advanced meditators say that the experience of opening the 3rd eye is one of a bright light inside your brain. Hence the 3rd eye is NOT your frontal cortex as he erroneously thinks, I don't think he is being disingenuous though, he believes what his science is telling him. But the 3rd eye being the seat of consciousness and related to the pineal gland has been around for thousands of years. And the people who talk about it are no dummies, they are highly advanced meditation experts. Now there are times when we gain a better understanding of old knowledge through scientific research, I do not want to discount that either. But unless you do the meditations or other practice to open the 3rd eye, also known as the 6th Chakra, you can't really judge it or compare it to some level of science which we know science can only go so deep in it's understanding. The other issue where he is misleading is that meditation is to bring up all those memories and feelings inside your brain. That is not a goal. Only when you start meditation and your mind is untrained you have many many thoughts. That is ok and in some ways a good sign that your brain is working. As you progress in meditation you learn to quiet the brain, you can never completely stop all thinking, but as you reduce it it stops burning up all that energy and you can reach deeper states of consciousness. This is where you can have real breakthroughs in your development as a spiritual being. Just a few points I wanted to make here. Thank you and God Bless! 😊

C'mon Huberman, We need to talk. I was sitting with the saints in the Himalayas in 1981. They are 2 levels beyond meditating with no breath or heartbeat. You are right about the third eye and how it relates to the prefrontal lobe although the real 3rd eye is the north pole of the 6th chakra. We are tickling the astral body when we meditate and as we fully release our physical body in death, the astral body has been in us all along and we use that in the life after physical death. I've got 40 years of this study and meditation and can enunciate quite well how it all works and how we all end up as saints (no matter how many lives it takes). Best to you.

Jeff- There is no reincarnation. Your spirit-body is only guaranteed to develop up to 6th sphere. (Earth is 1st sphere). To go beyond 6th sphere..you must NOT look within..but learn from those with more LOVE & TRUTH in them than you (i.e. without).. and they themselves were able to transcend 6th sphere by receiving a specific external love energy that transforms one to a different kind of soul-type (and hence spirit-body) who may then continue on infinitely. 40 years is long enough. I agree with you 100% for the same reasons. I remember the moment I was being physically born, coming out of my mother´s womb. I never tried any drugs as I grew up but had all kinds of spiritual, mystical, paranormal (use any term you want) experiences. You name them. I even had them before I even knew how to call them. I have never had or needed a "Kundalini or ayahuasca" experience to get to any higher state of consciousness that I have already experienced. Then again, that is only me, I am not saying I am right, just that everyone has their own way, that´s all. My grandmother was a "medium", very precise Tarot card reader, and she would always say I was the only one in my family with what she called "faculties" and it was true. After a long spiritual journey which included 20 years of practicing Christian life and ordained ministry, I am back to my roots, to my gifts, as different as they may sound from those annotated in any book. Sure sounds to me as though he is taking off on a tangent that isnt relevant to meditation. Those with knowledge of the pineal gland are well aware that light, does NOT directly hit the pineal gland! To suggest anyone is saying that is ridiculous! In short and without getting too technical, our eyes send a signal to the pineal gland through light sensors and cells. Also, the pineal gland is NOT the only exception to both sides of the brain. The cerebellum is a rather large gland in the lower back portion of our brains. Also, the hypothalamus in another gland that is not on both sides of our brain. There is quite a bit of empirical data and research with regard to the pineal gland and how it associates with the 3rd eye concept. Again, no one with knowledge is suggestion the pineal gland is the 3rd eye center. Certainly, THEY'RE LYING TO US, grabs our attention and is a neat way to get people to read or subscribe to his channel. Remember, do your own research and although the big bad wolf may be trying to lie to us, if you don't act like a sheep, you'll be just fine! The activation of the 3rd eye as it relates to the pineal gland is a practice that has been done for thousands of years for a reason, IT WORKS. If you are truly interested in a more complete understanding of meditation, may I suggest the Meditation Essentials podcast series from Glorian Publishing on Spotify? Glorian also has a KZbin channel, the content is excellent. The first one or two episodes of the podcast highlight the importance of the third eye and accessing imaginative states during meditation. If you just want to work directly on the 'powers' I suggest the Gateway Experience from the Monroe Institute. I mean, if it's good enough for the CIA it must be good enough for us too right? For me it's not about receiving an Information through sensing nerves. You create a map with your Imagination and lay it over body structures. I find a good way to meditate is to take a walk. I try to use my sense of smell, my sense of hearing and my sense of sight in succession. I try to sniff out the scent of automobile exhaust, people, dogs, trees, flowers, shift to listening to what is occurring behind me and to either side: traffic, birds, bees. I then Shift to my focus of sight: from the ground to either side and up to the trees and sky above looking for any kind of movement. It tends to overwhelm the progression of thoughts through my mind. This tends to quite my mind for an extended period f time afterward and I don't really have to make much effort. Just pay attention to all my senses. My brain is not used to this level of concentration so it can be quite tiering mentally.

Yes well this is incorrect, the 3rd eye is a focal point to access the medulla oblongata which is the master of the autonomic nervous system. I could demonstrate the association with a simple exercise that would allow you to understand this connection. Furthermore, if we vibrate or Hum, and make sure we are stimulating the skull bones we can indirectly vibrate the pineal gland and influence the release of Melatonin (in higher dosages this can evolve into DMT) which may allow changes in consciousness. You can research this in any biochemistry book. This video is just an example of a human ego trying to convince itself that it is in control. I have practiced with these structures for 20 years and find it so silly when another person with no experience, tells me that my experience is incorrect. If we just change the terminology we are speaking about the same things but that in itself does not matter, what matters or all that matters is gnosis. The purpose of meditation is to remove the connection between the mind (5 senses, emotions etc…) and the reality of who we are (one divine God, or singularity or whatever you would like to name it). This separation, this traditional idea of dualism which every modern philosopher and “scientist” speaks against, is the place where you will discover the truth. You cannot just let your ego make up rules a narrative and convince yourself that is truth. Truth is not something you can make up, like the scientific process, truth is only found through direct experience. Eventually everyone, will come to understand these things when they die and shed the ego, when they finally get free. Until then enjoy the ride everybody.

Interesting perspective. I don't normally hear of the pineal gland being referred to as the seat of consciousness, outside of Descartes calling it the seat of the soul. It is usually linked with the awakening of higher levels of perception, allowing one to perceive things outside of the normal sensory range. This enhancement of perception can enhance the connection with ones higher consciousness, and that can lead to an enhanced state of being, in an individual that is properly prepared for such things. It can also lead to madness if one is not properly prepared.

I can clearly feel inside my brain. If there are no sensory nerves, then I can feel also without them. I am a seasoned terraveda lineage vipassana practicioner, I focus all of my attention in a dot and move this dot trough my body, sensing and feeling with clear mind everything in that dot. I can feel diferent frequencies in diferent tissue and in boundaries like skin, bones and indeed ventricles and glands inside the brain. I have to disagree, as would every spiritual person that ever lived. Why was there absolutely no mention of dimethyl tryptamine (DMT). A chemical created by the pineal gland. The pineal gland produces an excess of DMT as we die or have a near death experience. This is the chemical that causes the out of body experience. It’s what makes us dream. It’s literally the stuff that dreams are made of, and as we all know, there is plenty to “see” in our dreams. Even with our eyes closed. This is the 3rd eye that allows us to see what our 2 eyes do not. Please don’t seek your spiritual knowledge and wisdom from a scientist. Dear Andrew, let me report you about my experience with meditation. When I close my eyes it is not pitch black even if the room I'm in is pitch black. I see brighter areas that move around, flow, move. For some time I played around with what I see with closed eyes. Follow these patterns and just watch it. What happens very often when I do this is that I start to see things clear as if I look at them with open eyes. Most of the time this latst for a second or two. Once however I followed these light patterns until the patterns got clearer and cleaer as I learned to manipulate these patterns. And just once in my life it became so clear that it pulled me right into a dream while I was fully awake. I never managed to recreate this but since this experience the Yogi culture and what they say just makes much more sence. Religion is all based around the possibility of some people to enter this dream world in meditiation. Like mohamed went into the desert and met god. Ppl seeing angles, have visions. When this happend to me I recogniced a face becoming clearer and clearer until a valkyrien angle glowing in a golden light showed itself. Even more fascinating was the way the dream build up itself. A flat surface rushed in and all objects were just flat like a picture until they reached its position. This happend really fast. Then however all object flipped up from this flat surface so they apear 3D but seeing how this all happend was mind boggeling. I shit you not. Opening the third eye in my opinion is to get to this place where you not just lucid dreaming but are fully awake in your mind entering the dream world.

I’ve had great success chanting the old word for God, HU. The mind wanders, & I don’t worry about it, and HU 20 or more min. Everyday anyway. Now there are many HU channels on KZbin to HU with. One channel has amazing quotes. We can also HU before dozing off, & ask to recall dreams & ask for spiritual support. No negative intent can persist when I HU, & it’s given me great protection. My 3rd eye Mya tingle or not, it doesn’t matter, or the focus can be on the crown chakra instead. BC of the pure love within the HU, the gifts have been many, like time travel via dreams, seeing the future, healing physically & emotionally, and the recall of 20-some past lives on my own. The sky is the limit, I just have to ask for spiritual help.

I wake up 1.5-2 hours before sunrise. Not by choice everyday, but some days I do have to get up that early for work. I wake up exhausted, most days. I usually go to sleep early. I wake up as tired as I was the night before.

These are common tips that help: Stop going to sleep early. Make sure you physically exert yourself enough earlier in the day to NEED to sleep. An hour or two before bed, begin turning lights down, avoid using devices/blue light. Use your bed ONLY for sleep/intimacy. Do NOT go to bed until you're ready to sleep. And don't let yourself "sleep in" on the weekends to catch up, keep your schedule. I do hope this helps. 😴

I'm going to share my own experience. When I sit in the dark with my eyes closed. I turn my attention inward. My awareness is focused on itself. My mind is quiet. Yes, I see this as well. And depending on what state, in the beginning, it will be kind of like you said a circle and it’s moving in waves. I can’t really control it just flows. But when I get deeper I can actually get it to form a stable ball that just sits there and I noticed it’s usually if I do things like moving my feet left and right and doing things with my left and right hand and this is hard to explain but trying to look through my left and right eye differently and I feel like I’m trying to sync my left and right atmosphere. This is all usually earlier in meditations, I have some crazy, hyper realistic, visions that come when I start to get to wear I’m about to start dreaming, but don’t actually fall asleep, it’s just right when that daydream ability kicks in but you don’t let your self fall asleep. You let that feeling of falling asleep kind of happened autonomously but maybe do some deep, breathing body movements or some of this is hard to explain but there’s definitely a difference between looking at the back of your eyelids, and then using whatever that sensory ability is to see things in the mind for me it’s powerful enough that sometimes if there’s a light or a light flash, it can be blinding as if there was a real light.

really like the final message. it's what I try to wake my closest people from. The powerful Projection in their minds and it definitely has had a strong grip on me for most of life so far. Snapping out of it is like jumping out of a container and connecting real time with the environment.

The overwhelming part of that that puts him not right is this. I’m guessing you can find these people and putting them in an MRI or something like me and Reveell San amazing results . Also, just because the brain does not have any sensations does it mean to the penal gland, doesn’t, i’m guessing or thinking. What does the penal gland do? Why is it so recognized through so many peoples experience not through thought or theory, but through experience. It seems you’re taking your experience and knowledge and I do believe it’s very vast from what I’ve heard of you. This was really interesting for me. When I think about meditation sometimes it’s confusing where to land my attention. But I know that it’s about being present and quiet. So not focusing on what people call the third eye which as you described is not the pineal gland, it’s not the right landing place for me because as you describe it brings up emotions thoughts and memories. Rather to be generalized and in contact with the external and the surrounding as part of the moment I am in -that’s what I got out of this section of the talk. Helpful.

I had a Christ Oil Awakening last February. For 3 weeks, my energy was amazing. It didnt matter how much i slept, ate, drank, worked out, etc. The days started to mesh together, and it occured as a result of meditating for an hour each night over the course of 2 months. I have watched several of your videos, and appreciate the way you carry yourself and how you speak and the guests that you have on your shows, speaking in a sentence not necessarily the science of things and how they work but more from a spiritual realm if we can use that terminology! There is definitely something somewhere within all of us I would hope as to where the human realm becomes almost magical of sorts! And the reason I say this, is because I have experienced it so much within the recent months. And without really delving too much into what I've been going through, I believe that I have actually not only activated a part of my brain that never before has seen by me, but also have corrected physical ailments of swords within my body, strictly off of thought patterns and a belief system learned along the way! I believe I have learned a way to somehow change what I'm not sure, but I think, is neurotransmission maybe regrowing nerves? And somehow I keep going back to my pineal gland as being a source in which I tap into?

Just hav a few questions.why do we have a light sensitive organ deep inside our brain where it isn't supposed to recieve light as he says in the video. Y do we feel head aches if there aren't any neurons there in the brain, so where do the aches originate. I personally,unknowingly, did a meditation method only once to clearing my mind of negative thoughts for a second or two with my eyes opened, amazing to me afterward as I realized my mind stopped being flooded with uncontrolled thoughts of negative influence and has changed me ever since. The change experienced in the mind was immediate and it really was magical. I did it once only and never had to do it again as it Had permanant effects. we'll now after watching this video I'm tryn to figure out about the gland or the cortex, which could it be. these comments were posted in the name of science, in the search for truth and understanding
