OpenRCT2 - Tutorial - Combining Track & Changing Trains

In this tutorial I used OpenRCT2, to combine track types. I also used it to change trains and operating modes on different tracks.

Wow! I feel so spoiled! I have been playing rct since its release but missed the boat when track merging was in its infancy. I recently began playing again as I took up interest on openrct2 and I mean recently. I see this video is several years old now and openrct2 has come a long way over its course of existence. It seems very user friendly as I see and watch older how to videos and various versions.

I tried to do this with three Mine Train Coasters in a way when it doesn't make it up one of the hills with the objective being when it falls back it goes onto a different track, it does this twice that way the train cane make it back to the station forward. But there's only two modes, continuous circuit and continuous circuit block sectioned, that's it. I go to test it and it wants me to complete the part of the track I don't want to complete, so is my plan just simply impossible or what?

Whatever happened to the looping giga coaster? Is that now the steel twister? I want to recreate Maverick.

I tried making a dive coaster combined with a steel twister coaster so I could get Immelmanns, dive loops, and zero g rolls. I finished the whole layout, overlapped the parts where they connected, changed the mode to boat hire mode and it didn't work

GeminiJets 1919 Same thing with me but I used floorless coaster for the quarter loop track for my inversions

For the dive coaster to have those inversions, you don't need to merge coasters. You can just change the ride type to twister whenever you need to build twister elements, and switch back to dive when you need dive elements. You'll need to close and reopen the construction window to update the special elements list. Note that the dive coaster doesn't have the train sprites for corkscrews and barrel rolls.

Can we combine two diffrent type roller coaster 8:20 .like combine those two diffrent one . Will it work ?

Didn't work for me, when the train on my coaster gets to the other coaster's track the train just stops and the front car glitches out and looks like its going back and forth on a teeny tiny piece of invisible track. I'm trying to make a stratacoaster like Top Thrill Dragster using the giga and LIM, and I know it works because I've seen the video where the guy recreated Cedar Point, and he built TTD the same way and had no issues. Unfortunately he doesn't explain in the video how to do it. 😕

You have to enable all ride operations in cheats and then set your coaster's ride mode to "boat hire."

Ive actually tried to do this for months, exactly like this in the video, and it still doesnt work. Either the train blows up when it hits the changed section of track, or the train simply stops when it hits that section and its changed to boat hire mode. the two tracks never merge together either as the game says that one of the coasters is in the way. very frustrating.

i did a thing and now my waterslide is a water coaster with roto-drop cars because there is no god
