Hello Andy, i really like your analysis and reviews, really thorough. I am between Aerofit pro and openrock x for jogging and walking. Which one is the best? I am using an Ibasso 170 player for my exercise. So i guess aptx or Ldac compatibility coudl make a difference with these ear buds? Do you propose any other option? Thanks gain

@@appleima24 I'm not sure if the codec makes a huge impact on the sound of open-ears to be honest. The Openrock X is one of my personal favourites, but the new Soundcore Aerofit 2 could be a great option too for less money.

Thank you, Andy, for the usually pleasant fully informative review. The speaker being on a hinge attracts me too. Just one ❓… Please, if you know… is there an APP for Apple devices, e.g. iPh & iPad? I searched & listened even at a slower speed(!). G’nite ex Australia J C.

The adjustability of these earbuds is similar to the TOZO open buds I've used, which have been my favorite for a long time. I believe the sound quality should be comparable to TOZO's, as you can adjust the speaker to the sweet spot in your ear canal. A downside of this style of adjustment is the bulky size. Overall, they could easily become a favorite for anyone.

I don't mind the size as long as it's comfy.

Any way to, measure or compare, magnetic shielding for the area in contact with the ear ? Am allergic to magnets, so if they are too strong I get pain after a while. Thanks.

The OpenRock X LOOK extremely clunky, but assuming someone's out to buy open-ear earbuds I'm sure your review makes a difference! Great review as usual!

TOZO has been unveiling its product designs for several months, and the Openrock X was introduced more recently. The earliest review of the TOZO Openbuds I encountered on KZbin dates back 11 months, almost a year. Out of courtesy, I will refrain from specifying the channel name since it's not considerate to mention another channel in the same categories.

I have owned my Tozo Open Buds since October 2023, and they have a god sound. They share duty with other earphones - Open earphones and in-ear buds. I paid around £45 with discount. The OneOdio OpenRock X are very similar, bot cost over 3 times what I paid for the Tozo Open Buds!
@Canuckrz4 ай бұрын
I really appreciated the section at the end with the 1 to 1 comparisons against each competitor instead of just scale ranking. It makes understanding the pros and cons of each vs the OpenRock X much more clear. I think my main concern with them is that despite them being a premium offering, visually they look pretty cheap. From the very boxy speaker section, to the generic silk screened on OpenRock logo they look like a generic aliexpress product they put their own branding on. Obviously this is superficial, but when you're paying a decent bit of money these seem like strange design decisions. I also do wonder how well the hinge mechanism will hold up over time given they will need to be adjusted every time you take them in and out of the case. Although the hinge is fantastic for adjusting them to fit you perfectly, if they were to get loose they would become basically unusable.
@AndysTechTone4 ай бұрын
@@Canuckrz I share your concerns regarding the longevity of the hinge. Its made from steel so it should be pretty durable but only time will tell how it holds up. As for the design, it doesn't look any cheaper than Shokz, 1More or Soundcore in my opinion. The OWS Pro is still in a different league though... 🙂
