15:20 if y=a+bx why do we say y= 32.8572-6.7857x and not +6.7857
@opentuition3 жыл бұрын
We don't, I mis-wrote and must re-record the lecture. It should be '+' and is correct in the printed answer in the lecture notes.

@16:30 I didn't understand that multiply by 1000 and divide by 100?? I understood multiplying 1000 for fixed cost but can u plz explain me for the variable. I couldn't get there!!! Myself an F5 candidate and now since this topic has been introduced, could you plz confirm me whether we would also get these formulas in the formula sheet as F2 students get it or we need to learn!!

Total variable cost just like fixed cost will be in 1000s But variable cost per unit is multiplied with number of units to become 1000s So if total vc is 1000s and units are 100's then vc per unit will be 1000÷100 = 10's

@@ednagonsalves8703 still I didn't understand why he divided it by 100? What's the point?

Are we given these formulae in the exam? Or do we have to memorise them?
@opentuition4 жыл бұрын
You can find a sheet with all the formulae that you are given in the exam on page 3 of our free lecture notes.

If we multiple our variable cost per unit by 100 it should give us 678.57 why do we have it as 67.86 in the lecture?
@scionV2 жыл бұрын
yeah I think that was a mistake on their part, anyway I make the answer out to be Total cost = 32857+678.5X (where X = no. of units)
