When's the last time you saved a backup copy of all your hard work so you don't lose it? 🤔 Isn't it better than having to re-create everything from scratch if something goes wrong? 👍 That would never happen, right?!?🙄 Fly fearlessly, Journey to Better, & check out the TMac FPV site at tmacfpv.com ! 😀

TMac 👍👍. Two thumbs up sir, I know this may sound ridiculous but I’ve been loosing sleep at night because of the confusion I was going through trying to understand the plethora of OpenTX video tutorials I have watched. I watched and followed along with you on this very short but very detailed and easily understood video and had absolutely NO issues whatsoever. I won’t disrespect anyone but the last video on the exact same subject lasted over an hour and at the end, all I got was a big ERROR command, and I was thoroughly and ready to sell everything I’ve invested in. I figured if I can’t even do the basics, how the hell am I going to learn and understand the more detailed and complicated things. But after your outstanding videos I’ve gotten my second wind, I was able to bind my first quad, setup all the switches, and back everything up because of your way of teaching and explaining. All I can say is THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.🙏👍😂

Hey AngryPepper! What's funny to me is that doesn't sound ridiculous at all (lying awake at night thinking of things)! Sort of sounds like my "normal!" I'm vey happy you've found some of my content useful, however, it was your perseverance that enabled you to "crack the code." Thank you, my friend, for making the time to share your success and kind words. Fly fearlessly and always . . . Journey to Better! 💪 🤩

Good video as always can you do a video on creating a quadcopter model along with setting up the arming switch and whatever switches you'll need along with betaflight programming
@TMacFPV
@TMacFPV 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Dereck! Here's one that has Betaflight setup in it for you. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJ-zo6KiqZusjNk You may find the Fast Track FPV Course useful to you where I go through step-by-step everything (in detail) including checklists for setting up your transmitter and quadcopter. I designed it for anyone to get started in FPV the right way (even if they've never flown a quadcopter before). I created it because of the struggles I went through getting started a few years ago. I had never flown a quadcopter before. Didn't even know what gear (quad, goggles, transmitter, etc.) to get. Went the "hit or miss" route watching various YT videos, buying different things, etc. just like most folks are still doing today. Wasted a lot of time and money doing it that way. I thought "There has got to be a better way than this to get started." There was not,. So I created this course to make it easier for others than I had it. I'm also able to provide my students with personal & individualized support. The way I figure it is, if someone's willing to make a commitment to get better more quickly through this course, I'm going to prioritize my time to do absolutely everything I can to help them out. To see if its a good fit for you, check out the curriculum and course reviews here: tmacfpv.thinkific.com/courses/fast-track-fpv

Great tutorial, thank you. One thing, your Models and Settings backup was only 1k in size, as shown in the directory window on your PC - that seems kinda light for all of the models you had. I just did a backup on my own radio with only 2 models and it was also 1k. I'm going to assume this is ok, but if you have any comment on that, it would be appreciated.

Hey Highwaymen! You're not alone my friend. That's exactly one of the reasons I made it. Nothin to be fearful of, just start with small steps like in this video. Do it a couple times. Hi. i know this is an old video but could you give me any advice, my trouble is the usb connector is broken on my old x-lite pro so cannot connect radio to companion, i dupplictated the sd card content to the computer thinking i could transfer the models bin files to the radio master zorro on edgedtx, as i purchased it as a replacement, this radio uses ymal models files and cannot find a way to convert the bin files, cannot do it through the radio as like i said i have no way of connecting it through usb. thanks any advice welcome, would be a chore setting all the models up from scratch.

TMac: ive been trying to bind this radio to my nicro quads and blade helis. Struggles for 2 months. Today i tried to do your three steps and the first went fine, the second said somewhere i ha$ files that were taer not aetr and did i want to convert? This is probably why ive been struggling. I cant find where the taer files are labeled or stored so im at a loss as where to go. Maybe forma5 sd card, erase all files and restart with firmware and sd downloads? Any ideas? J

Are the SD card i use for drone videos compatible with radiomaster TX12? If not why, and what SD card should I be using? I'm asking because apparently I I am not seeing the subfiles on the SD card page of the radio and when I connect it to Opentx I'm getting a message that I cannot write files to that card. I'm using a sandisk extreme 128GB V30 A2 3(inside the U) SD card.
@TMacFPV
@TMacFPV 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Brian. 128GB? I've never tried one that large in a transmitter before. Try one at 32Gb or below (8-16 is even more than enough) formatted with Fat32. Something like this www.amazon.com/dp/B01J5RHBQ4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_F1NS51NYBC85F75WHECH

@@tvz857 Brian, going to give you 3 links. The first one is to my OpenTX playlist here OpenTX: kzbin.info/aero/PLKAiYAaTdvmqxtSKfP-2_QQlS_fd6h2YU . The next one is to my RadioMaster TX16S setup here RADIOMASTER TX16S: kzbin.info/aero/PLKAiYAaTdvmrEDFS4el4MjDOrY_Et2QnG . However, it sounds like what you're really looking for is a structured, easy-to-follow, step-by-step setup of your transmitter with OpenTX (including checklist), and perhaps the de for your quadcopter with Betaflight. I offer those and much more in my Fast Track FPV Course. You might want to check out it's curriculum to see if it's a good fit for you.
