It's been a long month.
A weird, narrative second go at the playthrough nobody asked for. In this episode I show you all Potato Game and tell you a little about the spirituality of pirates.

The name drop caught me off guard, lol. I love the instructional chalkboard xcom guy and yeah that sniper/spotter thing is a load of crap. I didn't know it lasted multiple turns, but that explains why grenades fall from the sky when there is no way I can think of that they would know I was right there. Been a bit since I last played Piratez, but the last time I was I got decently far and my group was operating in the red. The millions of dollars we got at the end of each month is like 4 or 5 hundred thousand less than the monthly costs lol. I expanded as fast as possible so yeah...

Sorry :P I can not do that in the future if you'd prefer. The sniper value is a % chance they'll act on spotter information each turn, and the spotter value is how long in turns them seeing you lasts for (shooting/melee attacking a spotter who isn't looking to death counts as being spotted for some reason). In this mod only high ranking or sneaky units tend to use the mechanic (this is why rats shoot you over buildings with their bows and arrows). Of course you gotta open the .ini files to see these. In Files a lot of the units, even basic mooks, give spots that linger for ~5 turns. The income thing is real dang weird, I do mean to talk about it in the videos sometime. Pirates expensive :(

@@FruitySpruce Its cool. I don't mind you mentioning me. I actually appreciate it, but I just wasn't expecting it to happen, lol. My pirate crew operating in the red might have something to do with having two bases, five ships and as many hands as I can fit in those bases long before I had a stable source of income. I went for the aggressive expansion strat.
