Jonathan is now going solo and is a worldwide opera star. I suggest you go down the Jonathan rabbit hole of stardom. What a gem he is! I think he has converted many into opera lovers who otherwise would not. He's not shy anymore and has his own fashion flair for his performances. They don't bully him anymore.

Good and fair reaction. They got to the final, and she was a lot better in the next round. They've gone their separate ways since, she into musical theatre, him on to sell millions of albums and becoming one of the best tenors in the world. Not too bad for a lad who was cripplingly shy

When they came on stage, a mic caught Simons talking to the judge next to him saying " Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse". ...... Then Jonathon opened his mouth......LOL Don't judge a book by it's cover

He was 17 but Charlotte was only 16 at the time of the performance. She was equally as nervous but hids it better. To get a better idea of her voice at that time you need to listen to their song for the next leg of the contest. Song was Caruso and she did a great job there. No, she is not on the same level as Jonathan but he is likely the best tenor voice of this century, IMHO

They were in the same school singing class and Jonathan had no confidence in himself but agreed to audition if she accompanied him. She's much better in the next round.

Charlotte kept him calm and helped him. Without her, he wouldn’t have even gone on stage. She was there to showcase him, and she was such a good friend that she didn’t mind letting him get all the praise.

Jonathan & Charlotte went on to be first runner up in the final to a bloody dog act! After BGT, Cowell signed them to Syco Music and they released a couple of moderately successful albums before going their separate ways. You mentioned pairing Jonathan with someone else, possibly Susan Boyle. If I were in a position to pair him with any one, it would be Irish soprano, Leah Barniville, who auditioned on BGT at age 14. She is now 21, and Jonathan is now 28 (ish), and they would be beyond perfect singing an operatic duet IMHO. *_R_* 😎

Jonathan sang o holy night in carols in the domaine in Australia just before Christmas, he has many videos on youtube, his version of unchained melody has 11 millon hits, also check him singing the theme from the godfather it was filmed at one of his concerts in America. He has also done an arts share album with with Diane Warren.

They placed second, and that was very strategically done. Because right away, Simon Cowell put both of them under contract and sent them to Italy to study with some of the best vocal coaches known men. Now they made I think two CDs together. Then Jonathan went on and is continuing to go on world-class tours, and to be quite honest I don’t know what happened to the young lady.

Charlotte went back and finished school and is now performing in musicals at the West End in London which was her dream. They are each very happy in their individual careers.

I'm with you on that - he was f**king amazing but I thought she was somewhat shrill. However, she seemed able to keep his nerves together - he seemed really shy and I think needed someone with him. I give him credit for saying that they would stay a duo - that's a gentleman.

I'm so glad you had this pair on. You are right, she helped him get here, but now he's a professional opera singer and she went the pop music route. If you get the chance, listen to them sing "In the Arms of the Angel" here on You Tube.

Jonathan is a classical crossover tenor, but, to the best of my knowledge and belief, he has yet to perform in any operas, and certainly not as the lead or star of any.

In the semi final you can hear Charlotte's marvelous voice .She make carrier as Jonathan do for a couple of years . They won the final in 2012 as a duo . If you can go to Charlotte Jaconelli -Pie Jesu ,you will understand how she sing very well .

They made it to second place in the finale. Charlotte improves substantially over the next two performances and holds her own very well when they sing this song again for the finale. Its a pleasure to watch and listen to them go thru the process. I highly recommend watching them progress.

I was shocked the first time I heard him sing. I'm 60 years old and I've never heard a better male voice. When I was little my parents would listen to Mario Lanza records. This young man has all the mellow richness of Lanza but I think he is a better singer.

In an interview Charlotte mentioned that she was also so nervous that she sang in the wrong key which you can hear. If you listen to other performances by the two she really rises to the occasion and has a fantastic voice.

Jonathan needed her to kind of push him on the stage, He believed she was a great talent. But she knew he was the star. They hung their dreams on each other. The best audition I have ever seen on that show was Jahmene Douglas he does Etta James At Last... and he owns it! To out perform the original, The song was made for Etta James, until Jahmene Douglas sang it Etta I'm sure gave that song to him as soon as she heard his first note. I was quite emotional for Charlotte & Jonathan after they finished. But I cried throughout Jahmene performance my heart stopped. Every one needs to see him. He was in a band sang background vocals because he was timid.

At the time it was Charlotte who encouraged Jonathan to go on Britains Got Talent. He was scared to go on his own. Thankfully for his sake he sings on his own, which is fantastic, but I still feel for Charlotte hasas it all her own doing. He is now a professional singer & just amazing. They split up but hope they are still friends.

If you look at their later performances on BGT (semi and finals) she sounds much better and they mix well. They don’t sing actual opera arias, but he sings with opera technique.

I believe even though Charlotte just was not the power voice of Jonathan .She did help him with his nervous feeling about putting himself out there Charlotte has a beautiful voice but not to partner with Jonathan as he was really the star . I wish both of them great success and happiness

Charlotte's problem in their audition was that she sang with her _'Essex girl'_ voice instead of focusing on improving her diction and enunciation. Had she done so, she would not have suffered the brunt of Cowell's adverse critique... the song ('The Prayer') was after all very successfully covered by Celine Dion & Andrea Bocelli.

Her performance was a bit pitchy and definitely underwhelming in comparison to his. At times I even felt like it took away from how powerful his performance was. I hope he comes into his own, he's so young and talented! Would love to see more from him!

Watch the video of him singing Nessun Dorma in his living room. He's outstanding. Also, when they sang this song in the finals, Charlotte is 1000% better and the two of them were incredibly good together.

Jonathan has recorded and released several album since he was on BGT He has recorded “ The Prayer “ on his ChristmasLand Platinum Edition, and sings this song as a duet with himself. It’s stunning.

Charlotte is and excelent singer but the volume of of Jonathan mike was higher, and he stole the show. Next time they sing in that show the mix the voice better and it was beautiful with the two voices. Charlotte was mistreated for Simon and now for you, but it is not your fault. Besides, Jonathan became a person a little hard to swallow, but that is just a personal opinion.

Jonathan has a strong and dynamic personality and is very humble and funny. People love just being near him. After a concert people will wait for hours at a meet-and-greet just to shake his hand and he's always so kind to each one even tho he's exhausted.
