@@caretaker2222 , unfortunately with the way the music industry is nowadays compared to Pavarotti's generation its very unlikely that Jonathan will experience a similar level of success and fame, I agree though that he would be deserving of it but to be honest I don't really see celebrity status as important and I'm not sure Jonathan's quite shy exterior is really cut out for that level of attention despite the fact his confidence has clearly grown alot since BGT.

This young man us incredible. He had been horrendously bullied at school and was a nervous wreck when he appeared on BGT at the age of 17 as a duo with Charlotte who gave him the courage and support to perform. They made 2 albums then split. He recently released his 4th album. He has come such a long long way and what a kind and compassionate sole he is. People travel from all over the world to attend one of his concerts. He touches your very soul when he sings.

I think that if you just came across one of his videos you would think that this is a young man with an outstanding voice, but if you first watch his BGT audition and see that scared, shy teenager shaking like a leaf on that stage, you just fall in love with him. The difference between him then and now just makes my heart happy and I wish him a long and successful life and career.

Jonathan and Charlotte appeared on BGT 2012. A few months before, Jonathan had quit school, and was suicidal due to the daily bullying about his weight. When he stepped on stage, Simon said "Just when you think things couldn't get any worse" I hate to think we almost lost this beautiful voice and wonderful young man. We were very fortunate to attend these sold out concerts in Toronto. He stunned everyone by singing "Nessun Dorma" as his Encore. People were standing, crying, cheering and throwing roses on the stage as he sang! It was magical. He also sang "Compass" about those difficult years, there are family pictures in the background. Watching that video is what got me through 2020. it would be great if you did a reaction of that song. Also, "How Great Thou Art" from his live streamed Christmas concert, there's a hint of Elvis in his voice, and that last note is STUNNING!

He's still so young, gathering the experience needed for operatic greatness if he so chooses. The snobs of the opera stage will demand that he takes that course before they will accept him as a new Pavarotti but he has the expressive theatrical delivery to wow the opera world, there to be knocked out of court. For me this performance stands againt that of the great man, richer, more rounded and less metallic and he clearly works at his Italian enunciation. The world lies before him.

Please react to the song named "Caruso" sung by Luciano Pavarotti. The writer of this song, Lucio Dalla (from Bologna, northern Italy), wrote this while staying in one of the rooms where Enrico Caruso, former famous tenor (From Neaples, southern Italy), spent the final days of his life. Caruso was 48-years-old when he died, and a few years before Caruso died, he married Dorothy Park Benjamin who was 20 years younger. They had a baby girl they named Gloria. Lucio Dalla wrote this song while imagining how Caruso, who knew he was dying, would have said goodbye to his young wife - the love of his life. curiosity: in sicilian dialect the word caruso means (ragazzo) boy.
