interestingly, power of the ancient force was always the hardest for me, you spend so long in the high 5th octave, it's draining on stamina. I think it's also the only song that the band shortens live for every singer they've had so far

@@DarkFoX750 Highlander is still insanely hard, speaking from experience. I don't think it's a walk in the park even for daniel. There are some things in there I don't think ANYONE I've ever heard can do. Like full voice D6 with upwards vibrato. Noone else does that. Even women have to use head voice or falsetto that high. Plus his distortion is so incredibly controlled and perfect it's insane. I've been trying to figure it out for years and it just seems impossible. But hey, even if she manages to sing those songs in clean vocals like this, that's still a great feat and she'd be the first one to do it so...yea, I really hope she gives it a shot

@@blazejecar Thanks for the detailed answer! Speaking on something you never heard, check Dimash if you don't know him. The guy is simply flawless, the best vocalist I've even heard. Dude can achieve a D8, that's in the whistle category.

​@@DarkFoX750 I do know dimash. There's even a video on youtube that compares daniel to dimash x) He's a crazy good singer but I wouldn't exactly call him flawless. For example, according to dimash himself the D8, as well as his other whistle notes are inhaled, which isn't really whistle register (and it's damaging to the voice). I can sing a C8 that way as well. Not going to deny that he's probably still in the top 5 singers on the planet but he does have some mini flaws

I think she is the only one that can do Daniel Heiman justice. Other covers of Lost Horizon, Heed...do not come close to Heiman power, I mean they are good but something is always missing. I think she would do a good job and it would be different, because only dudes are trying to do it.

I'm an old Nightwish fan since 1998, and I really loved Tarja's operatic vocals on their Oceanborn album (and was always a bit "disappointed" that they turned more towards contemporary style on later albums...or at least I would have wanted to hear that more powerful opera voice). wow, in a woman all is more easy, in a man is the challenge, you are singing a song that naturally sing a man, but i dont know a lot the song, is my first time listen this, i dont know if you transpose the vocal line into a woman key, or directly you sing the original key vocals. TA TA... THIS IS THE QUESTION, I LISTEN THE LIVE OF THE BAND AND NOT SING SO HIGH, but if you sing the man vocal like with you woman condition, you run with a huge advantage 🤔🤔

I'm singing in the original key with original tracks. Hard to explain in one comment whats going with vocal production, but to belt this high as a woman is actually not easier just because I'm a woman. This technique here isnt to be confused with projecting the head voice, which is what you are thinking of with women accessing easier/higher production. You can hear the difference in my other cover for Epica on this channel during the chorus where I switch techniques. The vocal mechanisms at work here are similar for both women and men. Both have to access this particular register in a particular way, and its not super easy. The original singer of this band dropped the octave often when singing live probably due to technique issues. Again, hard to explain in a youtube comment lol. Thanks for listening!
