I work in a luxury department store in Beverly Hills and this young man came in looking for a tuxedo. I said, oh are you getting married? He said he was heading to Moscow in the morning and had to have a tux. I asked what on earth are you going to Moscow for? He said he was singing with the Moscow Philharmonic. I had to Google him and was blown away by his beautiful voice. He was the coolest, nicest guy.

I'm used to hearing Lawrence sing opera so at first I was disappointed. I thought, this is going to be a soulless, repressed, hokey version of gospel that I'm probably going to hate. The kind they forced us to sing at my arts school with no ornamentation allowed. Boy was I wrong! First chills, then tears.

This is the stuff he grew up singing! He's fantastic at singing both classical and gospel. Absolutely world class.
