Every year the Operation Cross the Straits (OPE) becomes a vital bridge that connects millions of Moroccan citizens residents in Europe with their countries of origin.
The ports of Algeciras and Tarifa managed by the Algeciras Bay Port Authority are the epicenters of this migratory movement, the largest between two continents: Europe and Africa.
The ports of Algeciras and Tarifa asume 75% of the transit both passengers and vehicles in a Passenger transport regime.
Since its beginnings in 1986 the Operation Cross the Straits has been an outstanding example of international cooperation.
