Operation: Icestorm Mission 1 Demo Game

You've seen the unboxing so now it's time to get a taste of playing Infinity using the Operation: Icestorm box set!
We are playing Mission #1 from the booklet and Warren it taking control of PanOceania then going up against Killian with the Nomads.
Seasoned players take note, although this is a demo game Carlos reveals some cool 3rd edition rule changes! Keep an eye-out for them and let us know below how you think they will affect the game!

Had my first game of Infinity yesterday running my Nomad force. Had an absolute blast (pun intended) loading my HMG intruder full of orders and wrecking havoc in enemy lines! love the minis from operation icestorm, and cant wait to add them to my nomad collection. great video, 3rd edition rule explanations seem really tight, love the new climb rule (it's something i had questioned in my first game yesterday saying it was a bit silly that i could hurt myself climbing!) Lookforward to seeing the nomads win some more games :D

Thanks BoW great video! Also its nice to see how Carlos' english has improved over the years :). For all people not already invested in Infinity I have to say: Once you got the basic rules down it really opens up to a great cinematic gameplay and has everything you could ever want in a sci-fi action based wargame. I would definitely recommend you give it a try with the quickstarter rules / icestorm box.

One question. If i have a guy behind cover and i activated him making the first short skill move and no opponent have line of sight to my figure being activated but while moving I move out of cover and enter line of sight , do they get aro even if they didnt saw the figure activate?

Yes they do. Getting an ARO does not require that you see the model when it activates.

I like the change to the climb mechanic, but what happens when the climbing distance exceeds the characters total move value? If the climb is 20", would I spend a single long action to complete it?

Measuring from the center was a big oddity for me as well when I watched a few friends try the earlier rule versions... good thing it looks like there's been a lot of overhaul on obscure or badly presented rules.
