Operation KUDU trench warfare training

As a part of Operation KUDU, Armed Forces of Ukraine recruits completed a trench training exercise, led by instructors from soldiers from the 5th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment.
Training under fatigue, the trainees were taken through lessons on developing, defending, and attacking a defended position in a trench environment.
Trench training is increasingly relevant in the Russian-Ukraine conflict, and has seen the recruits digging and creating a trench system, as well as setting flares, offensive patrolling, and coordinating reconnaissance of enemy positions.

You can find footage from the past month of active defence by AFU (53rd) performing textbook dismounts from m113 in a localised counter attack in Donetsk. They looked in fantastic form. Western training is having a profound effect.

Yup, a lot of countries have already been doing this training like the US for example even though they probably had doubts it would be useful in modern warfare but now in the Ukraine war they were proven to still used in modern warfare.

Great support, but i think it s a two ways training actually, the ukrainians come from the real front line, Australia not been there for decades, have plenty to learn as well from the others

lol sorry Francesco, but Australia is actually the only country that's fought alongside the US in EVERY major conflict since WW1, including Afghanistan and Iraq. We don't have one of the biggest armies in the world, but like Ukraine we make up for quantity with quality (AND battlefield experience), and as we've seen over the past year, quality beats quantity. Perhaps use a google search before saying something you know nothing about.
