Part of the joys of travelling in my opinion is experiencing the country by sleeping in the hostels and meeting people. I really think Tom would enjoy travelling more is he did not spend large amounts of money in a fancy hotel and tried to immerse himself with other people travelling ect. However, this trip does look awesome and I am impressed that he is able to just book and go abroad, a very lucky man he is.

that big temple is the temple of Athena, that's what the city is named after. i think it was Poseidon and Athena fought and Athena won thus making the temple hers

the 'massive mountain' is the acropolis, on top of which is the Parthenon, a temple dedicated to Athena, the patron goddess of Athens. Its easily the most known temple in Greece. Theres 3 main temples there I think? Along with a few smaller ones, its a really amazing place, definitely worth a visit

Syndicate, the big temple is the Temple of Athena (AKA the Parthenon). Also the hill with two temples on it is called an Acropolis. An Acropolis is basically an elevated bit of ground which was used by the Greeks for lookout, basically a place of defense. Don't quote me on any of this, I haven't studied Ancient Greece in two years

That temple up on the hill is The Parthenon. It's a temple to Athena, the patron godess of Athens. Right now it's a museum and it would be a great place to go check out and learn some Ancient Greek history.

The building in your left was Parthenonas. The whole mountain is called Acropolis which basically means the highest part of the city. It used to be a fortress in Ancient Greece and it was designed up there in order for the soldier to be able to see the enemies wherever they were. The mountain behind the temple of zeus is called Lykabetus. I was thinking to come and meet u at your hotel and go psssssssssssssssssss BOOM. Have an awesome stay here in Greece. Go hit some drinks and have some fun.

Tom, I have been to Greece recently and I must recommend several things. 1 Be very careful about the water. 2 Greece outside of the coast is very arid so I you are looking for the lush valleys you are in the wrong place. That's basically it.
