According to the no. Of equations . In above eq we have 2 equations so we added 2 slack variable. If it contains 3 equations we add 3 slack variable. S1,S2,S3 . Put S2 nad S3 = 0 for equation 1 . put S1 nd S3 = 0 for 2nd . Put S1 and S2 = for eq 3 . Like S1+ 0S2 + 0S3

when trying to make the key element as 1, sometimes b value is getting negative. Is that okay since the equations won't be in standard form if b is -ve. BTW thank you for an excellent class. Just subscribed.

I was all along with you till the entering variable and then I got lost... Got confused with how many times do I have to Zj - Cj and if I had to include B as well in the calculation. Is there a way for me to find a parallel for this in linear algebra? Like can I solve the simplex table in a similar manner to how we solve augumented matrix and RREF (the Gauss Jordanian method)?
