As Einheitspakt troops wear out in the massive struggle against the Russian giant, the OFN nations turn their attention to Ordensstaat Burgund and its leader, Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler. According to intelligence reports, his health is rather precarious and his imminent death is not ruled out. The French State, on the other hand, is on the brink of destruction and the Luftwaffe has stopped indiscriminate bombing in Africa to focus on the Russians. De Gaulle is determined to take advantage of this situation to keep the promise made 35 years earlier...

One thing I find interesting is the nuclear exchange seems far from an apocalyptic one. Only the relatively large population centers seem to have been hit and the frontline troops will keep the brutal fighting and genocide in the smoldering ruins of Paris and Brussel, without direct orders from Berlin or Washington.

yes, in fact, the bombs mainly hit large centers and strategic places. It would be an interesting scenario to bring (especially for those who wanted the Great Trial 2.0 with Omsk invading post apocalypse Europe)

@@ilcrucco3528 The national redoubts Omsk built surely protects their leadership, but it will take them some time to reorganize and cull the remaining teutons left in the Urals. As for France, the Burgundian leadership is probably gone with Paris as well as the Nouvel Etat Francais led by the Charlemagne. I guess the Italians will come to save the day?

As you can see in The Great Trial video, at same time Germany and Omsk launched also their nukes. So we are not speaking of one nuke as you said but 4 entire nuclear arsenals (OFN, Burgundy, Omsk and Einheitspakt ). The war escaletes because in the ending, Burgundy was doomed so decide to drag its enemies with it

I do not think Ord. Burgund has enough nukes to try such foolish actions, and they would much rather prefer comfortable capitulation than their own annihilation. The ending completely ruined the buildup and the sense of sense

Thanks a lot for the comment. If I remember correctly, in the mod invading Burgundy always leads to the end of the world beacuse of the launch of nuclear warhead and therefore I did the same in the video.

In the mod I believe that if you capitulate Burgundy within a few hours maybe the thermonuclear war won't start but I could be wrong. I saw this thing in a video a long time ago. In theory, I think that by neutralizing the nuclear weapons in the first hours of the war, it is possible to avoid a thermonuclear war. (I wanted to deepen this idea in the video Goering's Wilde Ride but it is currently on break)
