You know, the idea of a focus tree that's hidden until you explore it greatly increases RP over Strategy for the first few runs. While HoI4 is a strategy game, I feel like that slight prioritisation of RP might make the game more accessible and a bit more fun for its first few runs if it didn't show the whole focus trees when playing.

As a Tester of this mod, here are my recommendations: -Italy, Italy is very, very fun, you can go either democratic or remain Fascist, both of those paths are equally good: while being a democracy you can go as socialist, remain democratic or even reelect the fascist into power, you can play a major role in world politics (like joining either America or Japan). Remaining Fascist, on the other hand, will let you choose a more reformist kind of fascist (anything from gender equality to allowing Trade Unions and letting them play a major role in the economy) or more of a hard-line fascist and seeing how Italy slowing burins to the ground. -Germany, I will recommend you, Speer, because he has so much content and so interesting narrative with many mechanics. -Russia: There are many Russias that are incredible, ranging from wholesome to epic to very fucking cursed. More wholesome Russias: Tomsk (genuine democracy), Buryatia (idealist Leninism); More epic Russias: Vyatka (constitutional monarchy with the legitimate Romanov Heir), West Russian Revolutionary Front (Communist Junta), Chita (White army remanent with an unwilling, puppet Tsar), Magadan (Pragmatist Fascists, who can even join America's faction); More cursed Russias: Amur (Lead by the guy who is the vanilla fascist in the USSR, he leads a party of mobs inspired by Hitler), Omsk (they just want to kill Germany, nothing else), Aryan Brotherhood (they think that Slavs should become Aryans, so they start forcing themselves and the poor souls under them to speak german, and they kinda hate themselves because they are Russians, and Russians are the Untermensch in their eye) Some other cool alternatives: the USA, Göring's Germany, Kemerovo, Japan, I would also say that England has only a few years of content as of writing this, but they will have the full 10 years on July 31st, so if you gonna play next time after the 31st, then ignore everything I've said so far and play England because they are very, very awesome.

The West Russian Revolutionary Front and another communist warlord (I forgot the name) can re unite the USSR. Unfortunately, there isn't any content post unification

You can make a lot of varying USSR-equivalents. Zhukov, Bukharina, and Sablin make a reformist one, Tukhachevsky makes a militaristic one, Suslov makes the old one again, Zhdanov makes a weird pseudoscientific one, Yagoda and Kaganovich make NKVD/Stalinist dictatorial ones respectively, and Serov makes a NazBol one. I think that's all of them.

I am not familiar with the mod because I do not have HOI4. All I know is based on videos I saw. I believe that he should wait for more content for after the reunification or just reunite the union and then continue the save after an update or sth. Either way would be nice I believe.
