I haven't picked up the Switch port yet, but I've been a big fan of this game since I first played it. I covered this on my podcast a couple years back, and it's a great time.

Hi, thanks for reviewing my game, I'm glad you're enjoying it. I watch the show every week and it's awesome to see you cover it! Re: online leaderboards, I was sad to lose them but Nintendo is pretty cagey about allowing their games to talk to small company's websites/APIs and I did not have a better solution unfortunately. Also, I'm sorry to hear you lost your save progress, that is the first time I have heard of that happening and is a very nasty bug - I will see if I can figure out the cause and patch it.
