Very nice 'ops'. I really like how your layout looks without the backdrops. Even thou there is none in a scene, there's always something nice in the back to fill the view. Great job.

Thanks Rick! I've been on the fence about backdrops for a while now. I like being able to look across the layout and see it as a whole with no obstructions. That being said, I really dig your backdrops, those hills are beautiful. Take care - Bill.

Thanks for taking us along, Bill! Your layout is looking so nice! I love too how you have it spanning across the two rooms. That’s such a fun way to use the space!! And you’re not kidding about the Himrod yard being in a remote location. It’s in the middle of nowhere!!

Thanks Seth! I think the layout is just the right size for me. Big enough so there's always something I can do. But small enough so I can go around and super-detail scenes. Thanks for commenting buddy!

@@MyFingerLakesRailwayLayout You really did find that sweet spot! Thanks again for sharing! I sold a 3D printer on Facebook Marketplace today and the gentleman that bought it was an engineer for NS. He left the railroad years ago, but said that still keeps his license by volunteering for the FGLK. I wish I could've chatted with him longer!

Don't do operations yet, but I have done one on another's layout, they used car cards. Layout looks mighty fine Bill

If you're moving a car from one spot to another, you're doing operations. Then again, some guys like to watch the trains run by. Nothing wrong with that. Thanks Pappy!

We do what you do and keep it fun! I doubt we will ever get into using cards or software. My son and I just like to run trains and have fun and will often come up with an industry servicing plan.
