You make a very compelling point. Having an effective Business Operations Manager, along with a well trained, and dedicated Human Resources Dept. make for a positive, productive environment for both employee and employer. Conversely, an organization may ultimately fail through a lack of positive regard at all levels.

You are absolutely right Fred. I've seen some critical scenarios when one or both factors are missing in a company. And it takes awhile to right the ship. That's why a good business operations manager is so important because he/she should always have an eye on all areas of the company. Thank you for watching.

The consulting side is interesting in that you have some clients who understand what you do which enables you to complete the projects. Then there are some clients who kinda understand what you do or flat out forget your Scope of Services. This is where a good contract and clear documentation (emails) come in handy. I've met all kinds of wonderful business owners........I've met a few who tried to "suck me in" and make me their "employee", only to be disappointed when I rebuff their full time Contractor-employment scenario. @@NinaRossBusiness What are the required qualifications for one to become an Operations manager?
@NinaRossBusiness
@NinaRossBusiness 3 жыл бұрын
@@nomiampofu9465 👋👋 Welcome to the Channel. In general, the term "Operations Manager" can be defined differently depending on the company. With that being said, a well rounded Operations Manager should have: -Mid level management experience, a degree in Business Management or a combination of both, -Compliance knowledge and understanding of governmental agencies that apply to your company, -Conflict resolution experience, -Interpreting financial data, budget preparation and planning, -Technical writing, -Creating, writing and executing employment policies, -Emergency preparation and planning experience.....I can go on and on. My bookkeeping skills have come in very handy for me as an Operations Manager. Some Ops Managers never touch the financial end of the company....I have always had major decision making with corporate finance and managing bookkeepers. *Qualifications ultimately depend on what the hiring company is requesting* Even if that company is requesting minimal qualifications (nothing that I have listed above), the position of Operations Management involves wearing many hats. The more experience, the better. Thank you so much for stopping by the channel and leaving your questions.

What can I expect every month for my check?
@NinaRossBusiness
@NinaRossBusiness 3 жыл бұрын
Hello Tyree and welcome to my channel. I will provide a general response since I don't know any details about your company. Here is what you would receive for your monthly check: Your company operating in a proactive mode. The ability for you (owner of the company) to transfer responsibility of problem resolution to me. Regular monitoring of your company's processes. If none are in place, written processes will be created and employees trained on those processes. Contact with an expert who can assist your company with any sudden issues. Anticipation of unique problems that could happen at your company AND step-by-step resolutions to those anticipated issues. Written processes for all key positions within your company - this enables your company to continue operations when key employees are unavailable. Clear, written emergency planning. Examination of your current HR department to ensure maximum protection of your company and its assets. This includes assistance with hiring/onboarding/review/termination of all employees. Resolution of any issues in this area. Regular examination of your business financials, review of bookkeeping processes, review of corporate financials, recommendations to save/cut cost. I am QuickBooks certified and can ensure your company always maintains control of its financial records. Work with your company's Accountant during tax time. Work with your company's bookkeeper to ensure tax prep processes are developed and completed to ensure a smooth tax filing. Review tax filings for accuracy. Research any ideas you (business owner) may have for expansion, reduction of business. Regularly examine your business insurance policies to ensure maximum protection. Regularly train employees on your company's employment policies and how those policies will be enforced. As a Business Operations Manager, I remove the worry from business owners as it relates to business operations. This frees up the business owner so he/she can focus on their primary job which (should be) getting more business. Sorry for the long-winded, unorganized response. My duties cover much more than this depending on the needs of the Client. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you so much for stopping by the channel. @NinaRossBusiness

👋👋 Welcome to the Channel! Great question. Applying diversity to the Ops role can be anything from creating calendars of events and holidays for different cultures, educating employees on those types of events, writing employment policies that outline your company's stance on Diversity, Equality and Inclusion, training staff in areas like sensitivity, holidays within the various cultures, ensuring that no employee feels excluded because of their culture, enforcing disciplinary actions to those employees who violate diversity policies. @NinaRossBusiness
@NinaRossBusiness 2 жыл бұрын
Welcome to the Channel. There is no "good time" specifically to hire a Business Operations Manager. You hire a Business Ops Manager either full-time or contractual when you see your business starting to grow, when you have issues with the functionality of your business, when you want your business reviewed (etc.) There are many reasons why businesses hire Ops Managers. Business Operations Managers can be hired full time when the company can afford to do so to relieve the owner of the operational and management issues of the company. Personally speaking, I get hired when small businesses want to move from napkin planning to actually starting to expansion. Wide open field, depending on the experience of the Ops Manager. Might I ask please, why was the video very hurtful?

Start listening to colleague complaints and discuss possible solutions to those issues with Managers that won't take credit for your work. Also start getting to know the key decision makers and talk about any new ideas you may have to perform tasks at your company. Stay away from pettiness. Help other colleagues resolve their issues. Think like a Manager. Management will start looking at you like a Manager and maybe think about you for promotions - with or without a degree.

At first they didn't want to listen or use any of my ideas. But after MANY failed attempts of their ideas, they finally used one of my ideas and gave me slight credit. @@favored4life My apologies. I have never had these issues connecting with someone from KZbin. I have yet to receive your response and my email provider has a 24 minute hold time. If you have a Facebook profile I can connect with you there, then use FB Messenger to call and speak with you. Again, my apologies.

Also,and this comes from a good place...The colourful shirts are a no no.A business suit ,a nice decent office,good manicured short nails ,a bit of make-up and contact lenses with a good Afro will work so much better for you.Thank you.Lov you tonz.

Thank you Tonz and no worries on the critique. I have not worn makeup since I was 25 (allergies). I don't wear contacts (eye issues). My hair is natural but as I age it's thinning so don't be surprised if you turn on a video and I shaved my head!🤣 It's the knowledge that keeps Clients paying, new Clients calling and viewers either watching or emailing me. *MY TWO CENTS* You are correct with regard to clothes, nails, etc IF I worked in an office with a dress code. As a successful self-employed business ops consultant, my "dress code" for me and my Team is to produce measurable results for our Clients and let everyone who watches my channel know that Nina is personally here to help viewers pass exams, resolve an issue or listen to an employee who was terminated, dealing with a lousy boss or help an employee understand why they were terminated. You would beat me - I am wearing Tshirts in some of my videos!! 😲🤯 Have a great weekend and I'm sure you will get that Ph.D. 🎓
