So amazing, love that they can just go for it live on long, complex songs like this!! Fred is such a beast
@avinapp Жыл бұрын
I know. It's mad. It is complicated. My band does long songs as well. Two of our songs were about 35 minutes. We had to cut them in 2 parts to even fit on streaming platforms. With a good amount of rehearsals, it's all possible! Check "What we are pt1 & 2" and "Black Mass Mountains pt1 & 2" from my band, The Sluagh. We performed them live as well youtube.com/@thesluagh6959

If you arrived early enough that night you were going to be standing a few cm away from the stage The Academy is a tiny tiny venue. Thats why. i wanted to actually watch them and take it in and im sure I wasnt the only one...i snapped 2 pictures that night and i did it during Haxprocess which is a song im not too keen on. it had been years since they last came to Ireland and it may be years before they return...there wont be too many oppurtinities to see them play in person that close. Id seen them twice before and both were huge crowds on a large stage at Wacken 06 and 08 different setting different buzz Opeth is my favourite band and a huge inspiration for me musically, i am not going to waste an oppurtunity to be that close to them by running around in circles and running into people on purpose. i was just glued to Mikael Akerfeldt's playing. There was one gowl behind me who kept screaming play something heavy and Napalm Death in between each song but he was ignored he tried to get a pit going during the clean section of Blackwater Park i dont think he was familiar with the band. .

You don’t need to be a guitarist to see it lol. You can clearly see Axe hitting the cymbals and the sound coming after. Not hating on the video; I don’t care. But it’s dumb to say none-guitarists won’t notice. Edit: It seems like it’s only part of the video as well.
