Very nice interpretation of the bass line. Not an easy song to master.

Johann DeFarfalla would be proud of you. I consider the section from 4:53 to 6:19 to be, hands down, one of Opeth's best riffs, to date.

Thanks a lot, I need to revisit this album these days and do another one.
@pedrofarias4174 жыл бұрын
@@KutOnBass, please, do that! Morningrise (1996) is my favorite album from Opeth. An absolute treasure, from "Advent" to "To Bid You Farewell". All of its tracks deserve full worldwide recognition.
@KutOnBass4 жыл бұрын
@@pedrofarias417 Sure is, I promise I will do one sometime soon, they are just too long and require memory and I am recording an album with the band now, but I sure will do one :)

Johann should’ve stayed longer in Oprah, in the Opeth book, Mikael said they fell out over his attitude, he was truly an amazing bassist, Martin Mendez is great too but I wished Johann had played on mayh

Mohammed Kutkut No problem man, I have one question though: I don't have a preamp but I am checking out the M80. Do you think it's worth the money?
@KutOnBass10 жыл бұрын
well, it's the only pedal i own and it's more than perfect to me, not to be advertising for them but always try out things when you can to see what suites you best, i'm also trying to check the b3k from Darkglass for distortion.
@MajorShmoopy10 жыл бұрын
The b3k is a monster, I tried one out at a store and it was the best overdrive pedal I've ever heard. Well thanks for the tip man, judging from how it made you sound I want a preamp now!

Loved your tone bro! would you share your amp settings? Amazing cover!
@KutOnBass10 жыл бұрын
Thank you man, I'm plugged to my Audio interface direct via the MXR DI, not through an amp, as per the description :)
@Vesperoth10 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what you are talking about, I've heard that term before, the DI but I'm sure I've never used one before... I'll do some research... but correct me if I'm mistaken, this MXR DI is what you get your tone from? I own a Carvin MB15 and an Ibanez sr305, active pick ups, but I suck tonewise... I'd like to get you tone lol
@KutOnBass10 жыл бұрын
www.bestbassgear.com/ebass/gear/electronics/pedals/why-is-di-so-important-to-bass-players.html this is a little explanation what a DI is and it's uses, the MXR i own is a DI from Dunlop and there are many others too.
