Had the pleasure of seeing them on the '24 US tour, favorite concert I've ever seen. Even better than Tool, a lot more intimate. The set list was amazing, from Face of Melinda and Leper Affinity to Eternal Rains Will Come
@MartinaHorvat-g3g18 сағат бұрын
uh, when Tool fans read this😂 but the diehards are probably not here. I'm a big Tool fan and once I wrote something similar on the Tool fan page, they stoned me😂
@Terminxman17 сағат бұрын
@@MartinaHorvat-g3g Tool is/was my favorite band and has been since I was around 12 or so in the early 2000s. But the more I've gotten into Opeth they creeped up to being my #1 I think. Is what it is, a lot of Tool fans are unbearable too
@MartinaHorvat-g3g17 сағат бұрын
@@Terminxman It's the same with me. I've known about Opeth since the '90s, but only by the name of the band, I didn't like growl singing. Actually, I didn't give them a chance until recently, they changed my way of listening to music, they taught me that musical taste doesn't have to stand still. But did you know that Tool and Opeth (Maynard and Mikael) actually have the same main influences - Joni Mitchell and Black Sabbath.

Martin’s bass needs to be turned up…Mike’s harsh vocals sound amazing here. Best in years…
They sound fantastic! Shame the audio sync made watching it a little bit difficult.

I think the bass drum sound is a bit too loud. It works well with the double bass drum, but not so much when accentuating the cymbals.
@hwareing2 сағат бұрын
I agree ... the best bit of the outro is the 4/4 ride while the double kick does its thing. He's either not playing it or drowned out in the mix

the level of the kick doesn't match everything else, almost to an annoying degree.
@gavinbuck813038 минут бұрын
Agreed, it's a fantastic kick tone, many drummers would kill for such a killer kick tone, but it just dominates the whole mix, could drop it a good 4-5dbs and it'd still drive the mix.
