Mikaels writing, composition and arranging skills are simply amazing. The talent he's got as a creator as well as the talent of each member of that band is on a whole different level compared to most.

I'm not sure this is the best example of his cohesive writing though. Lots of stopping and starting and fade ins, I mean the individual parts are great but this is probably the worst flowing song of the 00's Opeth.

I'm really digging your channel..and your comments guys. I'm a 63 yr old who is a complete metalhead...besides the good stuff I grew up with in the late 60's and 70's. I'm a big fan of Opeth ...some tracks to check out from the same Watershed album are Hessian Peel... Lotus Eater, Hex Omega..I apologise if you have already listened to them. Michael has seemingly infinite creativity with song writing...incredible...gifted, but it's obvious that he doesn't rest on his laurels...he and the band put the work in...lots of work for this....

Gold Videos GuyZ . I think that the beginning already is very good ! Like the timing by the drummer expecially when he goes on sincopation ! 3'14"-3'23" You the King you appreciate what i appreciate ! Great comment Travis the technical one ! I am referring to this part around 4'23"-4'37" when Drumming sincopation goes to polirythmics with fills and you People feel immediately ! So happy for our community ! Adore Travis Face in that situations and Suzi too is GOLD . 6'44" Around here it starts triplets . Here but not only i listen some classic heavy rock contamination , i think maiden are present .
