Using Schachenmayar Catania (a mercerised cotton) and a 3.5 mm hook, I made my first coaster in this pattern a few months ago, from memory. Memory must be a bit rusty because I ended up with 7 shells, not 8. Watched video again a few days ago and yesterday made coaster #2 (from memory again) and this time got 8 shells but forgot a round of SC. Both versions look good and a casual glance will look the same. Today I am making coaster #3 and am watching the video as I go along, so I am hopeful of producing a coaster that looks EXACTLY the same as the tutorial, except for colour.

Really nice coasters. Thanks for sharing. Question ? What type or make of the hook are you using.

Is there a written pattern?

You are fast and hard to follow. If you would slow down with more show and tell with an explanation at the beginning of each round, it might help others that are not as proficient as you.
