That's what I was going to say. I also call it a Cinderella color, so I'm thinking the girl of your dreams is Cinderella, but an iridescent color, so pearl instead of girl. And you have to watch Cinderella! Watch the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical version from around the 60's. It's the best one I've seen.

Glisten and Glow nail polish brushes are the curved wide-flat brush and are compatible with OPI. I think the KBShimmer ones might be too, but am not 100% sure on those.

I agree. It's always a challenge trying not to end up with flooded, patchy, and uneven cuticles. That, paired with OPI not being cruelty-free, makes me usually stay away.

I'd say this was more of a jelly polish with a shimmer, which doesn't give that lupy weird texture of Pineapples (which is a metallic foil!)

Tealing Festive is indeed a one coat polish. Dressed to the Pines is pretty nice as well. I didn't have the same problem with Pearl of Your Dreams, for me it was full coverage in 2 coats. Overall, I loved this Holiday Collection.

I picked up Merry & Ice, Bring Out the Big Gems (my favorite in the collection), and Decked to the Pines the other day from Beyond Polish- my daughter is wearing the pale pink one right now and she's got a number of compliments on it while at work. I liked a few more in the collection, like the gold and the silver, but I already have a number of golds and silvers from OPI and other brands too so I skipped buying more. Watching you swatch the Teal makes me mad I didn't grab that one when I placed my order last week. 😅

What is going on with OPI? The only ones in this collection that I like are Tealing Festive, Bring out the big gems and Rhinestone Red-y. I haven't bought anything from OPI since their Celebration collection last year. It seems like they are trying to compete with indie brands, but missing the mark. I only liked a couple from their Fall collection as well, so I'm disappointed because they are one of my favorite brands.

What do you do with polishes that don't make the cut? I know I'm not supposed to put nail polish in the trash, but I honestly don't know what to do with them when they don't work out. When it's just a color issue, it's easy to give away to a friend, but when it's a formula issue, I feel guilty passing the polish on! Maybe I should get over it, but I'm genuinely curious what others do in this situation. Do you just keep it in your collection anyway, or what do you do with it?

That's a great question, I believe that local recycling/trash plants should accept them but you could also save them for random crafting as needed!

I love the teal one and the silver and the very first one. I love the topper to do just an accent nail with it. That would be a bit of bling but not wild for a nice holiday party. I will probably pick up a few of these. The whole collection is just not my fav. I really didn't like the last 2 they just did too much. It's like they said "Oh we have all this stuff, we'll throw it in!! It'll be great!!!" But it's like the glitters are dragging the color off and making them patchy. Love the video!!

What all classic cartoons have you not watched if you haven't watched Cinderella? In all honesty, if you like old animation and art style, it is very beautiful. Of course there is the ball scene and her transformation, but there is also a scene where she is cleaning, singing, and the bubbles are animated in such a way that they change the colors of the scene, it's really captivating! Really impressive for it's time and worth trying to find some scenes on YT.

I am a little bored with the glitter topper, and it seems like they recycled it into both I Pink It's Snowing and OPI'm A Gem. At least they put it into jelly bases and not frosty ones!! I do enjoy a mix of silver and gold glitters in a topper, and like you I prefer a sparse glitter, but these just seemed too basic (especially when compared with Indie brands and how they would have used much more unique components in the same color combo).

I'm sick of the poor quality of some opi formulas. Three coats and it still looks patchy? My God😩 I love Go big or go chrome and The pearl of your dreams but I refuse to buy polishes that need 3 or 4 coats to get opacity. It looks tacky to have too much polish on the nails.

Honestly I think they're pretty different! Flaming June is distinctly holographic whereas Campfire is more of that metallic pearlized style! (You KNOW I'm gonna recommend both LOL)
