The colors are nice, but I'm sure I have many that would be similar. I have so many polishes that I don't want to have to deal with any that have finicky formulas or that are stainers. Thanks for the swatches and comparisons!💜

OMGosh the staining - eeeeek!!! This collection screams summer at least, however I'm not a matte fan and would end up adding a top coat.

Phoebe, Thank you, thank you, thank you for doing the swatch of (this collection). I say this because when I first saw this collection I totally fell in love with all these colors for Summer. I viewed the swatches by another person who frankly had nothing good to say about the collection which made me sad but I was very skeptical. It was mentioned that all were 3-coaters, streaky, and the formulas were not self-leveling. The person also criticized the theme name as well as the names of the polishes. I think maybe this person was just having a bad day perhaps, but, after seeing your swatch review I can't wait to get my polishes! Thank You 😊❤

Thanks for the swatches. I usually wait for your video to order but wanted a bright pink and a another purple so just got makeout-side and skate to the party from Polish Pick last week and painted my nails today with the skate to the party shade. I did not expect the matte, the second coat was better and when I put my top coat on they have a nice shine. I really love the color and think it is not close to anything I have. I highly recommend skate to the party if you love purple like me. Have a wonderful week!

I found more often than not that with a gel overlay some polishes will stain the gel but the same colors don’t usually stain the natural nail.

As a gel overlay wearer too, I want to share the caveat that I’ve found many polishes that did stain my overlay did not stain my natural nail. My natural nails are also prone to stains, even with a base coat. Thanks for the great comps!

Phoebe, you are the Queen of comparisons! Thank you so much for doing this and so completely. I know all of this takes a lot of time so I wanted you to know how much I appreciate you for all this effort you put into your swatches. I wasn’t crazy about this collection. The colors, the finishes and the staining were all off putting to me. OPI is a great, long standing brand so I am a bit surprised by this issues that have arisen with this collection. I have many, many OPI polishes and love them dearly. They are amazing so this collection surprised me with the problems that presented with these polishes. I was shocked at what that polish did to your nails! 😱 Maybe next time OPI will amaze us with fantastic polishes! However, I do appreciate how you manage to be positive while still being honest and factual about the brands you swatch! That is a gift and you do it well. ♥️🌹

I feel like the pink, peach, and yellow are really similar to China Glaze's spring line which I've been reaching for a lot. I'm looking for a pigmented blue that isn't navy or too crayon. I guess I'll have to wait until Winter.

I have seen another review of this collection where they put on three coats of everything and 4 of one of them due to the formula. I am intrigued that you got them opaque in two coats. A lot of them are still a pass for me, but I may pick some of them up.

That is some crazy staining after no time at all! Such weird streakiness - not the usual great formulas I expect from OPI. It must be that weird shimmer pigment that doesn't really shimmer lol. Bit of a strange collection lol

Thank you for sharing your swatches. I am not clear if Skate to the party and I'm yatch leaving are stainers. I love the colors, but probably won't buy them if they stain.

Gorgeous purple! Matte is fine but I’m stunned OPI would release shades that stain like that. It’s too bad as they are beautiful shades love the brightness.

Beautiful swatch and review! I have to say your positivity is much appreciated, bc even though you are positive you get your point across that some polishes have issues (staining for example). What about their formula? One reviewer was putting 3 and 4 coats on these and you got it opaque in 2. Its quite confusing....

It clearly depends on the finish you personally prefer as you have the option to choose either.

some do, but a lot don’t - and what’s even more confusing is a brand will sometimes label their matte & textured polishes and then other times just…not?? like, it can kinda change between collections ? i wish they’d just be up-front about it so you know what you’re gettin into 😅 oh well. that’s why i almost never buy a new polish without looking online to see what the formula is like, what the finish is, all that jazz. that habit has saved me from a gross, streaky, absolute hot mess of a polish on occasion.

@666_cthulhu Yes! I thought so, and that's what I have been doing lately too, checking reviews to see what the finish is. I've bought polishes in the past, and there was no advertising on them, saying they were matte or textured. I personally am not a fan of those finishes, so I end up giving them to friends who do like them. I wish they would place, even with a letter like M for matte or T for textured, on the small label underneath. Thanks for the reply. I guess we will just have to continue watching reviews to be sure. Lol

I hate the brush strokes, it looks so unprofessional and seedy… I thought I would like the yellows as I love cool yellow but I notice a certain greenish tone.
