OPI is a salon brand that caters to the masses, so I really don't hate this collection. I think my favorites are Mexico City Move-Mint and Telenova Me About It. I think the shimmer makes it pop a bit more.

The only reason I bought most of these is because I was born in Mexico city otherwise I would have skipped it. And they didn't even include a good green, like the green in the Mexican flag 😠

Jazzy Rod Right! I’ve been waiting for a good green. A better yellow would have been nice too. There’s so many vibrant colors in Mexican textiles as well. There was so much more could have been done with this collection that would have made it fantastic.

There are some pretty shades but nothing wows me. If Mural Mural were a tiny bit more opaque that’d probably be the one shade I got because I like the mica sort of flakes.

How cute would it be to do a French mani with the almost white purple as the base and an almost black purple on the tips? And an accent nail with a true white and a true black.

I've been super unsatisfied with OPI recently, lots of meh. I'll probably pick up a few bc I have a problem, but I don't feel urgent about it. I tend to prefer fall collections from most brands, but even that has felt kind of off the last year or so.

every single virago varnish polish, regardless of color or finish, was good in two if not an actual one-coater. there is absolutely no reason why so many mainstream polishes should barely be ok in 3. just pathetic.

I did buy Coral-ing Your Spirit Animal and Mi Casa Es Blue Casa. I may buy Viva Opi for the summer. I'm always "down" for a new coral and the blue matches the Pantone color of the year (per your 2/16/20 video). Thanks for making this video.

My Chihuahua Doesn’t Bite anymore is supposed to be more orange than My Chihuahua Bites. I’ve MCBs for quite a while and never liked it until now. Also I was gifted Cajun Shrimp and discovered they are almost EXACT dupes.

Great review Jess. You are really spoiling us with loads of videos lately :) Thank you :) This collection is just so like all the other recent OPI spring summer collection. I do like the purple and the hot pink, but the rest are all just repeats. I think a bottle of OPI in a normal shop in Ireland is like €17 or €20 it is crazy! But I am sure some people will enjoy them. The OPI collectors. :)

I don’t have a bright yellow so I’m going to get Don’t Tell a Sol. And I’m considering Hue is the artist and Mexico City Movement. I bought Stay Toasty My Friends by KBshimmer because you put it your 2019 favourites. I put it on tonight and it is amazing-I love it!! It is hard for me to shell out money on a shade that looks like something I already have. I did pick up Telenovela Me About It, even though it looked similar to the OPI D.C. Cherry Blossom I have minus the shimmer. I did go ahead and get Mi Casa Es Blue Casa since I did not have any true blue polish.

TY for the video. I like the colors, but I don’t like how unpigmented they are. The only time I want to do three coats is with a good jelly/crelly with awesome components in it.

Good informative review as always. As for the colors I think OPI stopped creating new colors as it seems like all they do now is just giving the new names to polishes they have previously created.

Lana Light I’ve noticed there’s only like a half of a hue difference between one and another. I’m an artist so I see a very slight difference. It’s not enough for me to purchase two that close together. If I purchase one close to one I have, it goes back. My Chihuahua Bites is a dupe for Cajun Shrimp. Only a very slight difference. I polished one side of my nails with CS and the other side with MCBs. Then I asked people throughout the day. Even after I told them what I did they couldn’t see the difference.

I may purchase My Chihuahua Doesn’t Bite Anymore if it’s a bright orange. I’ve been looking for one. By the way My Chihuahua Bites is an almost perfect dupe for Cajun Shrimp. At least on my nails. Please do a comparison video of the two.

Hi Jess, I see lots of comments on here about how boring and repetitive OPI's offering have become. I feel the same way, but I do appreciate the OPI business model and who their customer base is (or who they think it is!). So I can understand the way they decide on shades. I was in my local Beauty Brands yesterday, and they happened to have both the Mexico City and the Scotland collections, as well as many leftovers from the 2019 Hello Kitty collection. All three collections have a purple creme in them and I was able to compare the bottles side by side -- and no surprise, they were almost identical. Maybe one was a drop lighter or a drop more blue, but you wouldn't need all three for sure.

Cassandra Salcedo I purchased Cajun Shrimp recently and it’s almost the exact dupe of My Chihuahua Bites. At least mine are on the nail. I polished one side of my nails in CS and the other side in MCBs. I asked several people and even after I told them what I did they couldn’t tell the difference. I could tell a slight difference but not enough to purchase both. This happens often with OPI.

Hi Jess, I want to invest in high quality nail polish I know you have reviewed several different brands, but I’d like to know which one is your favorite. Last time I used Essie “Expressie” I was not impressed. I’ve been wanting to try OPI but can’t decide wether I should get the Nail lacquer or the Infinite Shine. I don't see anything special in this collection. And jelly formulas don't work for me because they don't cover my nails completely, not even in 3 coats :/ but I always enjoy your swatches 😊 thank you!

I already own everyone of these shades by OPI.🤦‍♀️What are they thinking. In order for me to buy a dupe from the same company the formula better be very much improved. This does not seem to be the case here.
