That was the perfect explanation of that question that Piers Morgan ALWAYS asks. It's none of his business! Also, it's not why do you "NEED" one, it's why do I "want" one. And I want it because it's my right, and it's my choice.

I love Alex Jones. But as a gamer, I know for a fact that first person shooters weren't created by the government. The Army created the game Americas Army. They didn't create Maze War, Wolfenstien 3D or Doom.

He was talking about Doom. In 1993, a small developer from Texas, Id Software, released Doom. The game pioneered the first-person-shooter genre that continues to dominate the industry. The Marine Corps took note of the growing influence of games, and how it could be a cost-effective supplement to training. Ever frugal, the Corps charged it’s Modeling and Simulation Management Office with finding a commercial product that could be modified for Marine training needs. Lt. Scott Barnett was assigned to play PC games on the market that might fit the bill, and eventually selected Doom II. Barnett enlisted the help of Sgt. Dan Snyder to modify the game from its sci-fi Mars terrain to small desert village, and replace the game’s demon enemies with more real-world adversaries. The resulting product - while nowhere near realistic - was intense and engaging, and promoted the kind of consistent, repetitive teamwork a Marine fireteam would employ in combat. While “Marine Doom” never became an official training tool, Marines were encouraged to play it, and it was sanctioned to be installed on government PCs.

+Odious Brodious i don't think they are for any type of so-called "gun control"... have you listened to other shows when they actually talk about gun control seriously? they just don't like Alex Jones because of his nonsensical shit...
@franciscoarias17729 жыл бұрын
Kristjen Štjuprić He has his theories. Some are grounded in reality some in delusion, but in regards to the second amendment debate, he's perfection.
@mihaeltomasovic9 жыл бұрын
Odious Brodious well, i don't think he is "perfection" on the 2nd amendment debate... the ONLY gun control i am for is putting rounds on target - that's IT! i personally believe that there should be absolutely ZERO government regulation on firearms or weapons in general - if someone can afford the weapon, they should be allowed to own it... we have the right to form militias, so if really rich people who love the 2nd amendment wanted to they could finance a large militia complete with armored vehicles, fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft, both light and heavy artillery, and of course every type of small arm and other type of weapon including AT weapons and AAA... SAMs etc... Alex Jones simply makes responsible gun owners look like idiots by just screaming at Piers Morgan and not really putting the facts forward that he should have and then going into cookoo conspiracy land while talking about the 2nd amendment! the 2nd amendment gives EVERY american citizen the right to keep and bear arms - it doesn't say for sporting or hunting or self defense... it simply says the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed - PERIOD. i don't care what someone owns a weapon for... i think select-fire weapons SHOULD be available for very cheap prices for purchase as well as RPG-2s, RPG-7s, the older chinese/vietnamese B-40s etc... then also purchase belt-fed weapons, high caliber weapons, artillery pieces, mortars, grenades, just about EVERYTHING should be READILY AVAILABLE. there should NOT be some idiotic semi-automatic ONLY variants of select-fire weapons! that is simply STUPID and that is what drives up the prices for firearms... weapons are extremely cheap to make if government regulation and taxation is removed and free trade is again allowed - including imports etc... a brand new PKM belt-fed machine gun (Soviet model) could go for about $450-$600... also, ammunition, if regulations and taxes were removed completely, could be made by everyone and anyone and would go for only a few cents a round! so basically, i would say ALL that in a debate about firearm ownership! also, the 2nd amendment doesn't put restrictions on who can own firearms so age requirements, background requirements, carrying regulations etc should be COMPLETELY removed! if a lot of TRAINED individuals are carrying, you will NOT see many shootings take place... you only really see mass shootings in "gun-free zones" because the criminal KNOWS his victims won't be able to fuckin fight back! Alex Jones throws conspiracy shit in there and everything and refuses to support the 2nd amendment as it was fucking written, so i am against him...

Kristjen Štjuprić You just described local law enforcement in some areas of the US. Trained militias (police) equipped with armored vehicles, fully automatic weapons and explosives. Enough to bring Iraq under control. Right here at the disposal of local law enforcement for, you know, a situation that ends in piles of the slaughtered. Obviously I agree with zero federal regulation for that possibility alone. Which is why Alex did the right thing by letting that pompous fearmongerer know he does not have a say on fundamental pillars of american culture, which is a gun culture, like our second amendment rights. The sad truth is the very corruption that inspired the idea citizens have the right to arm themselves in defense against an unchecked power, is starting to find footholes. Its only a matter of time before the hammer comes down on the second amendment, forcing another civil war. This is why people are so passionate in debating this issue. I agree with almost 100% of what you said, but I would have to suggest that militias are not immune to corruption and so maybe there should be local checks, not on a federal level, but something to keep the country from suddenly going apeshit.
