This was from over a decade ago. You can hear how stilted, hokey, and unnatural the dialogue and humor is. And yet sitcoms like this STILL get shit out to this day. In a time where the Internet exists, and shows like Breaking Bad and The Wire and True Detective are widely regarded, I just don't understand how dogshit like Big Bang Theory or Two Broke Girls still survives.

Unfortunately, the majority of the population are mindless dolls that clap when someone dangles shiny keys in front of them. Shit, a recent study proved that something like 45% of the population DOESNT EVER have an inner monolog. Just think about the implications of that..

Never have I wanted to beam my fucking phone at the wall more than at 4:12 when Opie cuts off Anthony and Jimmy right as they were about to hit 5th gear.. I seriously used to defend Opie, even a few years ago when EVERYONE openly hated him and clowned him more than ever I would still try to justify that he had a different role on the show. Etc etc. Everyone would say "trust me, wait for it, eventually you'll turn" and I didnt take it seriously bc I'd already been listening for 7-8 years at that point. But holy shit, it couldn't have been more accurate. One day it just flipped in my brain. I understood why everyone was so vocal about being completely sick of him. He ruined so many golden moments just like this one. All because he was so fucking insecure about his place in the pecking order in terms of "funny". He would always say that he was "the captain of the ship" and he kept the show moving, but it was so painfully obvious that he was never happy or comfortable with that designated role. All he really wanted was to make jokes too and feel like one of the guys, but he was too goddamn stupid to be clever and too sensitive to be honest. So in retaliation, he would passive aggressively ruin these kind of amazing moments CONSTANTLY. Fuck Opie with a garden spade. Too big of a pussy to act like a fucking grown up.

Jim's obsession with dead baby jokes wasn't funny, just creepy. Pathetic attempt at shock.
The real twist is when you’re 20 years in and are sick of whiny new O&A fans that can’t handle the fact that nothing is perfect. You all should’ve listened back when you had to pay for satellite AND sit through 20 mins of ads every hour. And most day to day O&A shows were boring, it’s mostly the highlights on YT. We all know Opie sucks, save your typing.

When I was a kid, I loved new TV time. Nothing made me happier than to see the new crop of shows and make my assessment as to what new shitpile was going to get the axe and to watch it suck for like the two episodes it was on. If I had been more forward thinking, I'd have chronicled all of it on blank VHS tapes. Times have changed though. I was pretty near the line back then. Now braindead idiots will watch basically anything you tell them to.
