It's an endoskeleton. There's no dispute about it; it'd be incredibly obvious if you compared it to the actual exoskeletons of insects, which require completely different joint anatomies. It's part of the reason insects have incredible strength for their weight.

Cindy Owens In the comics, his bones were said to be "laced" with adamantium; in the film, the key word seems to be "infused." In either case it certainly wouldn't be an exoskeleton. He would look like a fleshless Terminator if that were the case.

The difference between Marvel and DC is the difference between Star Trek and Star Wars. Marvel has a universe of thousands of characters and they try to deal with cultural and political subjects. DC is more mythological. It has bold colour characters that represent these classic ideas. But they don't deal with things like discrimination the way X-Men does.
