I'm so baffled by his cluelessness here. When the kid is 8 and resides with you, you're responsible for feeding the little monster. This bitch probably never cooks, gives him all the snack foods and sodas he wants, and lets him play video games all day long. No running around, no playing outside, no sports, zilch.

Society now tells you that you should “enjoy yourself” all the time. Literally every meal. That’s gluttony. No. I should not enjoy ALL things. Food gives you fuel to do work and do things in your community and family and helps you be a good person. That’s it. It’s that simple. No- no I don’t enjoy eating asparagus or broccoli- but my body needs it to get the nutrients I need to function and do good work and be a good person. People who “enjoy themselves” all the damn time are just selfish self centered people. Legit-if you’re “enjoying yourself” all the time that doesn’t really leave time for any other people.

In all reality, as it turns out, different peoples different bodies react differently to different foods. People can’t accept this. If me and my best friend eat the same shit diet he’ll pack on noticeable weight in a week. I can do it for months and not gain a pound, but my blood pressure shoots through the roof. My blood is sludge and I have to be responsible for that fact. My friends blood pressure doesn’t change like mine does. Not everyone’s body is equal. You have to be responsible for the lot in life that you’ve been given. Jesus I love food. It’s the best. But I also have to realize that it will make me stroke out and die by 35 if I don’t reign it in. Food is not something that you should love unconditionally- if you use it wrong it will kill you too

The difference is idiots like Opie are trying to say the reverse: an obese person who eats healthy, and at a caloric deficit, while exercising regularly, won't lose weight because they were 'born fat'. That is an impossibility and is not how biology works. The body CANNOT magically create weight when there is a daily calorie deficit. Amazing that this big trend of 'born fat' people never existed prior to about 1980 when access to a metric ton of sugary, carb-filled trash food wasn't within arms reach of just about everybody. Fast food fries & sodas went from a 12oz large to triple that size, We found ways to inject cheese into every portion of a pizza and burger patty.... but wHy aRe We FaT??!

Yup. I have no problem eating healthy but if I don't do a good bit of strength exercises, I go all flabby.
