I learned about The Room in 2009 from Louie CK when he was on O&A, he described it to them... then YEARS later Anthony actually watched it. But I can't blame them for forgetting Louie mentioned the Room, because I'm pretty sure it was the same show they all watched Paul O's own magnum opus "Gap." That movie was so awful it kills short term memory. Paul O wishes he had the talent of Tommy Wiseau.

If your a fan of bad as in Mystery Science Theater 3000 then this is the perfect film. Someone like my father who has no time for nonsense would not watch the Room for more then a minute and probably not even that long. The fact that the maker has no idea how bad it is almost adds to the cult following.

In acting, learning things like staging which is actually called blocking is 101, and no doubt Jimmy took classes for Lucky Louie and definitely for parts before that. Knowing blocking (ie "staging") is basic shit. Jimmy is just a wannabe actor making sure to talk about it lol.

For years, I would see the billboard for this alleged movie in LA and the running joke among everyone was nobody knew what the fuck it was, yet someone paid at least a few grand a month to keep it up there. Tommy, for whatever reason, owns commercial real estate on the pier in San Francisco which is like the most expensive real estate in the country. Oh hai In Ottawa, Canada they play this movie once a month along with other cult hits like The Rocky Horror Picture Show, at the Mayfair Theatre. Anyways, the audience bashes the movie the whole time, for example throwing plastic spoons as a picture framed spoon appears in almost every scene. The Mayfair Theatre has couches, its a riot, everyone should experience it.

There was a British reality-comedy show called "La La Land" where the main comedian posed as an actor and got a real role in a Tommy Wizseau movie. He drives Wizeau fucking nuts, spending production money on scratchcards and deliberately fucking up takes for the "gag reel". Wizeau storms off set saying "I am goddamn American director, respect me man, don't underestimate me man!"

i would love to look on these guys who used to laugh about him and criticize him in acting class now, after movie about his movie won Golden Globe and he was present on stage as a hero. fucking happy for Tommy. true underdog believing in his own dream and nothing stops him. the same goes to Scorch. 2018 has been fucking amazing for these two. Scorch is back on radio big time after being a bartender and whatever else.
