So basically the brain is screwing itself over. It enjoys euphoria but then resets it and then craves it again.

You read my mind. If this didnt happen chronic pain pentients like myself could stay on lower dosages without climbing up a scary scale, i've actually come to the stage where i REFUSE any more higher dose medications. Unfortunatly it gets thrown around like candy when you have physical issues that cause chronic pain.

Well no, youre artificially destabilizing your natural system. Its like if you go to sleep every day at 5am, at first youll be tired but at some point you will adjust and your body will get used to functioning on this new sleep schedule, changing dosages is like changing your sleep schedule

Great info. Can you elaborate on fentanyl. Is it a long acting agonist? and its acting effects on the body.
@seedysloth80153 жыл бұрын
Fentanyl is a very strong but also very short acting opioid. It causes severe opioid intoxication, unconsciousness and respiratory depression in high doses.

Can you make a video about opioid allergy. I am referring to the sudden onset of severe adverse reaction within hours of IV or oral administration. The adverse reaction symptoms are identical to a standard list of adverse reactions related to long term use of drugs like hydromorphone , hydrocodone, Fentanyl. What is the mechanism? Does it have to do with the opioid effect of blocking gaba production so that dopamine increases?

The last thing you said is wrong. Increased doses of need, in order to get the same result, is not what causes overdose. The body can withstand the amount it's used to at any level or dose, but it can't withstand a level it used to. If you quit for a while and are withdrawing, you want to fix the problem so bad, th@t you use 5he same, or more than usually...but after weeks of no use, that's deadly. Maybe that's what the video meant?
