OPL Themes on CFW PlayStation 2

I can’t get my ps1 games to play on my HDD. I’ve got the latest OPL version but it doesn’t give me the option to switch from ps2 to ps1 games. From what I can tell I need the older 10th anniversary version of OPL. Is there a way of finding that now?

Your picture look so sharp I use PS2 to HDMI converter my picture is not this sharp and my tv is 4k

I am using component video, the PlayStation 2 looks best via component video or RGB. Composite is the worst, and then there is HDMI adaptor that I am not a fan of. Send me a message if you need more information on how to get the best quality from your PS2. How big is the TV you’re using? My TV is 32”. You'd want to use a Scaler like the RetroTink or OSSC. A converter introduces a lot of visual noise which makes the picture look worse. The PS2 in general is also notorious for having REALLY bad video output even with Component Cables (Red, Green Blue)

I'm having issues with the games loading slow with artwork on. Any thoughts? Too many games? Too much artwork?

Did you add an artwork pack with artwork for the entire PS2,PS1 libraries? I have over 700 games on this specific build in this video. I have run into the issue that you are having. In my case scrolling was slow because I put the entire artwork pack for OPL with over 10k pieces of artwork. also make sure this autorefresh option is off within your OPL settings in your PS2. i.postimg.cc/MKs0Z18S/hires.png

Use opl manager

OPL manager will download all the artwork for you, you just have to copy the downloaded artwork and place it on a pen drive connect it to your PS2 and copy and paste it to your internal HDD.
