Worked on Dark Knight Rises for four days. I’ll never forget this… Chris is a very subdue person. BUT you can tell he’s sooo sentimental. I could name a few things, but I don’t wanna give away his privacy; so I’ll tell you this one specific thing. He wears his sorta famous London Fog long coat, and his SHOES… at least when I worked with him he wore these shoes that must’ve been really personal and sentimental to him because they were black dress shoes and the shoe part was disconnecting from the sole. So if you stood next to him, and looked down, you could see them literally falling apart. I think he goes out of his way to live like it’s the 1980’s or before, and he holds dear to the things that are important to him. Good man and a helluva leader on set. I could write a book about my experience observing him.

Red paper really lends credence to Blunt's description of Nolan as being detached from technology. I remember over 30 years ago, computer games used to have their code sheets printed on red paper for the same purpose of preventing photocopying. Yep. Same here. I saw it early 1994 in a theatre in the western suburbs of Sydney Australia. Everyone in the cinema was either crying or trying to hide it. It’s so well done but not a movie you watch for pleasure. Oppenheimer didn’t make me feel that overall but I found the scenes showing his visions in the auditorium really horrifying.
