Oppo A60 Review

I was looking at this phone to replace my 5year old Oppo A5 (2020), but its specs really weren't that much better than the A5. But by far for me the most important thing was the quality of camera which is pitiful for a $350 dollar phone in New Zealand. The Oppo a80 wasn't much better specs wise. In the end I went with the new Samsung A35 - hands down a major jump up in quality in all aspects. I would have gone for a better specced Oppo but they are getting way out of my price range. Love your reviews - cheers.

Video needs to be recorded at 1440/1080 and then downsample for posting to youtube. I know the rage is for 4k recording and uploading with all the massive associated costs of cameras and computing to process but 720P is all I ever post and so far after 5 years, no ones complained! Exceptions to this rule as a videographer is nature and landscapes then 1440 or at least 1080 is my goto resolution but for talking heads, its all about content and not the package! Also IOS, you need image stabliszation as video is unusable without it! So the A60 is a hard pass and with the Moto G54 now around the $200 mark on ozbargin or via amayasim its just a better low cost pick! A step up is the G85 at $350-400 and its a keeper for the money! My 2c... Just saying what I was hoping to hear as the camera is a dealbreaker in 2024

@@conorphoto @arts college the best photo was from a kids toy 3mx camera taken from the perspective of a pool of someone dive bombing. The camera took 3 shots and wrote the data to a memory card before it died and that image was used for years to sell pools in advertising. The other take away is 12mx is as high a resolution the human eye can ever appreciate too. Beyond that its for cropping sports or nature shots from the 24-48mpix down to as low as 1140p 300-600dpi. The rest is just promotional marketing! Streaming 1080p on 4k/8k TV is all you need for the best experience unitl you reach around the 90" mark TVs, then your going to go 4k projector with laser as its a fraction of the price and again, the eye likes bigger over more detailed any day! I do enjoy the videography of the newer netflix camera standards though, 1080p streaming of 6+ stops of light detail at night has transformed cinematography! But again its captured and edited then downsampled quality and its awsome (thank you red cameras!).. Watch a TBBT epsode 1 and then when it was going well the better cameras needed for netflix, its night and day (mid 1st series they upgraded) as an example!

Hi there. Two different reasons. Apple hasn't changed since the iPhone 11. I have the iPhone 11 and I had the 13 pro and the 14 pro. They are expert marketing company that makes very very very boring products. Samsung I would review but they ignore requests for review products. Ehh what can I do I'm a nobody 🤣🤣🤣

Thanks for taking the hit on the phone for the rest of us. Seems like a phone for gran who just uses the phone to call and/or make a some face calls with the grand kids. After completely uninstalling every app lol BRING BACK THE SD CARD.

Pay $30 more and get A80 5G (with twice the memory and twice the internal storage). Seriously forget the A60.
