To be honest this is the year of Nova 3i, Pocophone F1, Honor Play and the F9. It's the midrange category that is very hot in the market. More people are smarter nowadays not to spend a lot of money for smartphones. At least we consumers have a lot of options nowadays. So far though, the waterdrop notch of the F9 is worth considering coz the others look a lot like the iPhone X. Yes, the F9 is like the Essential phone but the Essential device is very hard to find in the market and is very expensive.

But they don't test the temperature while gaming.. Its the issue for oppo eversince.. F3, f5 and f7 suffers for long time playing games.. Because oppo uses mediatek cpu.. That's why i go to huawei nova 3i.. Using their own cpu and good ram management.. Good camera and affordable price..

I think Yugatech is trying to be safe here after all you don't want to piss off advertisers, don't bite the hands that feed you as they say. Okay so if you buy the F9 for 17,999php, that is 2000 pesos more than the Nova 3i, what extras do you get? VOOC fast charging, a slightly bigger battery and that's it. With Nova3i, at 15,999 pesos you get all the best midrange features, the 128 gigabyte storage is a BIG plus. The Kirin 710 is proven to be faster chip. The mid range is really all about price to specs ratio and Nova 3i has it. 2000 pesos cannot justify for me the VOOC fast charging and slightly bigger battery of the F9. Power bank lang katapat sa mga heavy user at low battery. But you cannot beat the 128 gb base storage, the Google Android experience is there, more likely updates, and the faster chip, mas maganda rin ang kuha ng camera ng Nova 3i. For techies, I think they'll chose Nova 3i. For the those into aesthetics siguro F9.

Watching this on my nova 3i :) And as close as they are comparatively with both having their own strengths and weaknesses.. I will go for the more premium brand.. Huawei is globally competing with Samsung and Apple at the top 3 spot (You can research on it if you do not believe me). Branding matters too..

Why does my nova3i drains fast.. For 5mins using it drains 2 to 3%.. Even when im not using it for 30mins it drains like 5%... I already request for replacement. But still had to wait max of 3weeks because they have to check it., blah.., blah.., blah... And also is it really normal that the phone heats up when charging??! I hope I really do get a replacement..

From the other reviwer, Memory an CPU usage in F9 is always high wheb running apps causing it to be a few degrees warmer than the 3i. Heat affects overall performance in the long run and easily depreciates battery.

with almost near identical or less identical camera shots, due to higher Ram i would go for F9, im currently having ram problems with my current Neo 5 android phone and honestly i didn't have Ram problems 1 year after i bought it, the ram problem occurred due to Apps that have been updated and required more Ram to process, imagine waiting for 15-30 secs when opening Messenger it even takes longer for it to respond when i haven't opened it for a while and having so many messages, not to mention facebook and youtube notifications tagging along when you connect to wifi (fb,messenger, and youtube are the only apps on my phone that displays notifications, i restricted other apps due to the Ram problems), so currently my Neo sucks now, and due to apps that are constantly updating time to time would require the increase Ram usage, Oppo F9 would be my safes bet for the next 5 years or more to come, even though 3i wins the camera on my understanding, still they're pretty much close to me, for the Processors both are awesome for multi tasking, battery life f9, even though f9 only has 64 gb of storage data i think i can manage that since my neo 5 has only 16gb for the past 3 years, im not that much of a selfie addict to want larger data storage, though i will be paying for 2k extra for the higher ram, so F9 is a win for me, ill be buying my F9 soon.. thank you Yugatech

for me, Nova 3i 1. premium built 2. internal memory is 128 big advantage for mid range phone in photography the higher megapixel, you are using the bytes also increasing especially when you are using RAW instead of JPEG 3. The quality of the camera shots are more vibrant & list distortion than oppo f9 base on my experience especially low light situations. 4. Ram is 4gb enough to sustain any software

I'm a former Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 user which is 2 years old now, and now I'm currently using Huawei Nova 3i. Based on my experience it's a worth upgrading though one thing that I noticed is the quality of the image and video taken by Huawei Nova 3i specially at night or low light situation, it's not that good as capable of Galaxy J7 2016. Anyway I'm not a night or low light photographer/videographer so I'm good with it.

The Oppo F9 has a more better rear camera. Eat that. AI just enhances the colors. VOOC fast charge is a must and the F9's display is much brighter outside. Plus, the P60 doesn't need such Turbo GPU.

This both phones will depend on the buyers perspective. If you are a busy person with less time doing things then VOCC fast charge is a great help with Oppo F9. And also consider the 6GB of RAM. With that you might not consider to change phone for another 3-5 years depends on how fast the tech develops. Huawei on the other hand has a huge internal storage. But that can be suffice by the oppo if you add some 256GB external memory. Depende nalang talaga sa preference ng bibili to.

for me im a gadget addict and kept changing phone for just months but Oppo F9 is the best for gamer....overall performance and satisfaction.... durability ,battery and fast game.. camera is better than those old Oppo...1st tym i appreciate the camera.

nova 3i has a shadow effect on the right and left screen side of the notch which makes the screen look dimmer besides the notch area.... is there any way to remove that shadow effect?

Tech wise, mas angat ang f9. Pero kung honor play yan saka f9, i go for honor play. I have a previous phone honor p8 lite, and the performance is good, especially in gaming. The problem is the internal storage is only 16gb.

actually i much prefer the f9 because it support vooc and it doesn't heat up too much when performing some tasks than the nova 3i and f9's design

F9 is more expensive because its got Corning Gorilla Glass 6, fast charging and a LTPS IPS LCD screen which is supposed to be better than the regular IPS LCD which leads to less power consumption, add this to the bigger battery and you get more battery life.
