I've had Oppo Find x6 Pro and I was very nervous about potential signal issues, g-pay, 5G....I can confirm first hand what works and does not work in Slovenia (probably the same goes for Find x7 ultra which I hope to get tomorrow): - google pay works - 5G works - band 20 (4G outside cities) works...overall NO signal issues - all banking apps work normally - company portal works - Xiaomi watch (and probably also Oppo watch and other Chinese watches) works normally and can be connected and used for NFC payments etc...without any issues What does not work: - android audo - ''hey google'' - can not connect Samsung watch

You do realize that the titanium used is minimal. Like a coating on the edge and not the entire frame. It's more of a sales gimmick than anything else.

I agree. Manufactures need something to sell as a novelty. I've had Iphone 15 pro max in black gray and the titanium just cought fingerprints like crazy. I always keep my phone in a case and with protection glass on so I only care about how prone it is to scratches and I don't care about drop tests and durability becaise I baby my tech gadgets. If I were to make a dent...I would anyhow buy a new one

Samsung must respect their consumers by working on their design, putting in a charger and a case, fast charging, any device in 2024 below 80W is unusable, unnecessary gimmicks in the one UI, extremely high price for nothing special

66 watts supercharge on a Huawei is plenty, my old phone was a Huawei mate 40 pro and never felt that the charging was slow. I just received my Oppo find x7 ultra 2 days ago and I still don’t think my mate 40 pro charged slow

Brilliant and helpful review, I'm actually leaning towards the Vivo X100 Pro but I've heard theirs an ultra or plus model coming out. A review between the Oppo X7 and VIVO would be interesting 🤔

Picked up this phone after watching yours and other reviewers videos and I'm definitely happy that I did! Early days but it's the best phone I've ever used, camera is amazing, battery lasts me well over a day even with a decent amount of use and it's absolutely rapid to use....it's a beast basically! Certainly was worth the upgrade from my pixel 6 pro!

13 years being a Samsung customer I left on 24 ultra. Before returning it I grabbed myself a OnePlus 12. The UI on OnePlus 12 took a bit of learning but much, much better than Samsung. More refreshed. And what made me completely leave Samsung was that my older s22 ultra at times was taking better pictures than s24 ultra until I start comparing them to OnePlus 12 (Samsung over saturation and over sharpening, almost cartoonish pictures)...Once I saw the differences on the bigger screen that day I requested a refund from Samsung. And I saved around $700 Canadian.

I really really like this Ultra but since it's only in the Chinese ROM, do you constant Chinese notifications like from their app store? If so can it be disabled? That's the issue I had with my Vivo X90 Pro Plus. It was so annoying. Looking to get the global X100 Pro but man this Ultra is a beast!

Titanium has been shown by mrwhostheboss to scratch just as easily as stainless steel or aluminium because the coating itself get's scratched which leaves micro-flet surface which makes the light reflect differently and it is very obvious. Stainless steel has another problem...it is really really prone to surface scrateches, so I always go for the mat finish titanium or aluminium...neves SS.

Titanium has little of self healing for tiny scratches that SS suffers from but its much easier to dent titanium or do deeper scratches. I would say SS frame on iPhone X was my all time favorite.

@@simptrix007 yes, I agree, I had a SS iPhone XS Max, and I was able to polish it easily with metal polishing paste, making it look brand new. For me it was interesting to see that later on with iphone 14 Pro (I bought stailness steel especially for that reason), they applied some sort of coating on it and it could not be polished anymore...Or they used a different kind of SS.

@AverageDadOfficial see what honor magic 5 pro 8gen2 5100 mah destroyed both Samsung and apple in battery drain test way less bugs like one ui or ios costs way less charger in the box and honor doesn't cut corners unlike other Chinese brands and the honor magic 5 pro with 8gen3 and larger 5600mah Samsung can't increase the battery capacity because of the spen and won't make the plus better

@@Avner-sj2ky Magic 5 pro had IMX sensors, that why was better than samsung. Magic 6 pro change to ISOCELL sensors, which are way worse in color reproduction, magic 6 pro will be a downgrade. I don't understand why they did it, was really hoping for this phone because it is only china brand that left in my country that don't have to import.

So just an update if you care which I don't blame you for not 😅 but I ordered the Find X7 Ultra last night. The 512gb black version and I should be getting it in about 3 weeks. I don't care about it being a Chinese exclusive because I don't use Android auto and it won't be my primary phone anyway. That goes to my S24U Mainly I'm getting it for the cameras, so as long as I can download Messenger, X, and Threads it's worth it to me.

Samsung is always a safe bet. But if you are after camera (DSLR) quality, I'd recommend the 1-inch sensor of Vivo. Samsung pulled off a winer with the AI integration (hats off to them), but camera quality... behind Vivo or Oppo.

That price is really tempting, as I typically pay almost double for similar spec Samsung. But that watch sinching issue....what is the deal? Can you sync a Samsung or Garmin watch somehow?

I've got the S24 ultra it's colours are washed out not as saturated or vibrant as my old S21 Ultra? Samsung are aware of this issue and will issue a software update hopefully to fix it? Watching KZbin videos especially 4K hdr videos you clearly see the S24 Ultra colours aren't as saturated as S21 Ultra its not as bright ,this is really noticeable when you do a side by side comparison please look into this for your S24 Ultra review many thanks

Great vid as ever - and excellent to set out the risks of importing in such detail. Two additional points - one good, one potentially bad. On the subject of bands, there are plenty of websites which set out which bands a carrier uses and other sites which give the bands each phone model supports. All people need to do is compare if they're thinking of buying. The bad? At the moment you may not have to pay import fees. I wonder how long that will last. If customs do a check, you might get hit with a hefty bill.

Correct me if I am wrong, Aluminium is lighter than Titanium, however Titanium is lighter than Stainless Steel.

you are correct but not when it comes to the device... the amount of titanium required to maintain strength is 3x less so the actual weight of the titanium used is less than the aluminium required... hope that makes sense

hello average dad, i have been watching your videos for the foldables, like from 5 months ago, and i have even seen some of your videos repeatedly to keep me updated about certain things. now i heard that mix fold 3 got hyperOS update (and u mentioned hyperOS in this video). Can you make a youtube short or a small 2-3 minute long video on how it's improved from miui fold. on other candybar phones, the improvement is purely aesthetic. but i wanted to know how they optimised hyperOS for tablets and foldables. and thanks in advance (also thank you for introducing wonda mobile, and simple real-life comparisons for these chinese smartphones, thank you)

I'm going to say what I always say, just for the KZbin algorithm 😅 So yeah I'm sure you've heard this before, but as much as I love the look of the Find X7 ultra and as much as I want those cameras it's the software that stops me from buying one. And I'm not saying the software is bad, I'm sure it's good, but I love OneUI and if I'm spending $1000 +/- I need to know before I spend that kind of money! So unless someone wants to send me one to live with for a couple months I'm just going to have to stay with Samsung 😅

My main problem with Chinese ROM phones is that if you decide to sell it, it is very difficult. Nearly no secondary market for them, so the value of the phone is falling like hell. It was a good learning lesson for me with my Vivo X90 Pro+ and Vivo Fold2. Tbh, never again.

Rating a chinese software problem - no one out of china is using software 100%. On chinese phone presentation there is so much good and new things here and there. But what can we do... uninstall all chinese apps and use half of software potential! Global is something else. For me dark side is no B20 on lot of chenese phones (this one has it :)) and import taxes about 32% of the regular price (no way around it).

The only caveat is that it's not UK compatible. You may get 5g signal but then it skips 4g and downgrades to 3g. Good luck with that. BTW, I love Oppp find X series and it's an effing travesty they won't make a compatible global version.

not worth it. not notification ( i try everything ),no google pay ( bank app. working ), no android car,few chinese app. cannot been uninstalled and they are very annoying,messages is not function normal ( sometimes block messages with numbers or links ),etc.. i know is cheap phone but for me was big waste of money..maybe with global rom is different story but is not global rom for this phone..
