Great demo! This was exactly what I needed. I'm looking to add a second reverb to my board before the dirt pedals, and when I saw the Fender offset and the green Russian I was like "Oh good, this guy's prolly gonna show them going into the fuzz" 😆 I was actually leaning toward the Sunlight, but in watching this I realized the Dark Star is a better fit for me. Thanks!

Nice! I’m glad the video was useful to you. Both pedals are great. The Dark Star is probably a little more usable in its ease of use and versatility. The sunlight is more of a specialty type of effect imo. I love both and may put them on a mini board when I write songs utilizing them.

Thanks! I haven’t put it on my main pedalboard. I’m rebuilding mine in the near future. I’ve been using it on a mini pedalboard when experimenting. It’s definitely a pedal that takes over so it must be used in the right context like slower drone ambient type stuff. I love it

I love the Dark Star but don't really like the idea of changing my play style to make it work, and I don't like lugging pedals around that only get used sparingly

​@@Two-Eyed_BoyProbably? Idk I have the Sunlight and although it sounds beautiful I don't think either pedal is the most practical. The sunlight has a super lush washed out kinda reverb but it's hard to reign it in. An expression pedal helps somewhat. If you're going for a washed out surf indie sound it's probably perfect for you

Thank you! I’m using a Shure Sm7b. I don’t normally use it for vocals but it’s plugged into my line6 Dl4mkii. The line6 makes using other pedals with vocals easier.
