first saw them in 1980 at the Royalty in Southgate , and even supporting the Cramps at the Lychem Ball rooms , Oxford boat club and My home town The Greyhound in Swindon where they basically played for 50 people minority of us Rockabillies verging on psycho-billies the Rest Teddy Boys , there was needless to say the odd scrap .. such happy days, Tim always struck me as Bowie esq and the bands version of John Im only dancing was i believe said to be liked by Mr Bowie himself ..

Rockabilly with a dash of New Wave (fashion styling, dance style). There was only something like that in the crazy 80s. I'm still happy about Tim (Worman) Polecat who jumps around and goes wild at gigs from the first to the last second. THAT is the spirit of Rock'n'Roll!

I was at his house (actually my Uncle and Aunty's house in N London) at some point in the early eighties (I was about 11 or 12) and the band were there and took a photo with me. I remember it very well (I was about 11 or 12). Neil is a good 15 years older than me (big Irish family)!

Tim couldn't dance f*ck could he? Actually in hindsight not a bad pop rockabilly tune with regards playing techniques. Pity the new rockabilly scene sounds more like over-compressed country and western, and lazy teddy boy 12 bars. Most of the best rockabilly hasn't come from ther acual rockabilly scene for decades, and the scene ignores most of it.

there was a large underground rockabilly and ted scene before the straycats,in my opinion the straycats were in some ways just a catalyst
