Thank you for watching!
I started my journey on July 30th, 2018 and wanted to share my first 21 days with you. As of posting this video I am down 17.3 lbs. I have a long way to go, but that is a great start!

Love the idea about putting the feelings for a day into a brown bag!! Makes it super easy! Plus all the stickers & motivation you write - love. I am a month into it and have not had any success. I have been resisting it and not liking the idea of "not eating" basically the entire day. I have learned some new ideas from you and others who have posted ideas. Getting more motivation from these than my coach. He gives me literally no ideas on how to change it up. Plus, the food hacks out there to help with this program. This is my 2nd month & if I do not see results I am planning to stop the program. Hopefully these ideas will help. Thanks for posting.

Optavia is amazing. I have used it before and it taught me long term lessons. I am getting back on plan next month since I did have a baby who’s about done nursing. I didn’t do the nursing plan but I’m just hopping back on 5&1. Love your bag idea I am going to copy this for one week at a time.

Loooooooooove the way you store your fuelings!! I haven't gotten my first order as yet, but I was already worried on how to store it and not have these weird boxes all over my kitchen! Thanksssss so much for sharing! =)

Don’t listen to all these negative nancies telling you this isint sustainable.... just get your initial weight off that is most important...just get that weight down girl, then you can adopt healthier eating habits!!! Good luck on your journey!!

I gotta say, I'm not a big fan of the Optavia thing for many reasons, but to lose weight in the short term, you nailed it, girl! I imagine you will get more & more hungry as you burn fat and need more sustaining type of foods, but I was so excited to see someone do well with this!

My friend just lost 50 lbs in 3 months doing Optavia. What I can't stand is they call it fueling instead of what it actually is, which is EATING!!!!! Don't know why it annoys the shit out of me but it does. Thank you for posting this video. I'm not well versed in this but it seems like most of what you eat is processed packaged food?

syn is short for synergy - synergy between the three components of the plan (free food/healthy extras and syns) but I agree it's annoying, just say treats! Fueling is also annoying and everything is just junk, you can make a shake at home that fits your diet plan and all those chocolate bars... Nope, not for me..

Love Dove - it’s pre-packaged meals (or “fuelings”) that you order and it gets shipped to you in a few days. There are items like bars, crisps, shakes, smoothies, soup, Mac and cheese, brownies, and more!

I did that with my first box. I wanted to make sure I spaced out and had something savory each day and chocolate. I did one week and tried to use each item at least once so I could tell what I liked and what I didn't. Re-packed my bags last night. Week two started today.

Best of luck to you! A similar, but meatier & heartier pre-packaged diet program worked extremely well for my brother-in-law, who used it for about 20 months. Now he eats regular food in appropriate portions, and has done great for the last 15 years, with no backsliding. He has powerful self-control. I think he started at a BMI of about 36-37? (That way would never have worked for me; I had to figure out my own, slower way. No packaged food or groups for me.). My pre-work walking companion was totally essential! Bless her for being at my back porch every day at 05:30 no matter the weather.). But I did it, got down from 31 to 24 BMI, and haven’t regained either. Folks have to figure out their own way of doing it, but self-control and effort is necessary.

Good for you but I could not do it I lost weight on keto and intermittent fast down from 257 to 132 . I can live life on keto but no way on this plan to much eating and spiking insulin doesn’t seem like real clean food but best of luck to you!

Keto worked well for me. I am starting optavia in A a week. I am willing to give it a try for 1-3 months and than get on keto again. Keto was the best for me but i have a very hard time eating that much meat. I need to loose at least 150 lbs and I want to try these 2 methods to do it

...one has to make a change in their eating lifestyle and learn everything they can about nutrition ...this program like so many others is great for a quick weight loss... but can you sustain it? less calories, more physical activity =weight loss, I wish you continued success in your weight loss journey...

Weight loss is just the first step. Yes you can sustain it in the maintenance stage after you reach your healthy weight and transition stage. You'll eat more calories according to your TEE (Total Energy Expenditure) which is the number of calories you burn in a typical day. Just in the loosing weight stage that you don't do too hard workout.

How different our taste are! I thought the chocolate shake was a waste of money and so bland compared to the "hot chocolate". And the Carmel bar is great as my breakfast, really compliments a plain black coffee for breakfast. I compared the nutritional content and the raisin cinnamon are better than the spice bars, which also go with coffee so I usually rotate those for my breakfast fueling.

Whitney Murray I eat within one hour of waking up and then every 2-3 hours. I am on the 5&1 plan so I have a total of 6 “meals” a day.

Whitney Murray at the time of this video I had not started working out yet, I was simply eating the fuelings and drinking loooots of water. I do have a workout regimen now and am seeing good results.
