Optex VXI and Takex (MS-12FE) outdoor PIRs

I use the old style optex 3 beam sensors in Alaska with good success . Their about 14 yrs old. I have 300ft model. Thanks for the review I'm going to add to my security system as I'm now getting people crawling under the beams. I have a mini-storage and use the beams along the fence.

Is there any comment with regards to pet friendly? Surely the optex would be superior? Cause it's looking at the same direction? Where as with the takex a dog would set off the lower one?

Please explain more about the Takex dip switches. Do I have to move switches 3 AND 5 to change the pulse count? What is the function of dip sw 4? Tx

Does the microwave not give the Optex an advantage?

yes but then the Takex has other features which the Optex does not have.
