Hecz could have definitely paid them the same salaries as he did for them in the league, but the issue is challengers don’t have near the prize pools event after event like the cdl. Thats a lot of money to miss out on if you’re a competitive team.

Idk man the rumored (and some confirmed) salaries at the start of the CDL were insane. I think enable said he was making 300k/yr I personally think it would be hard for any team, even optic to maintain those inflated salaries for 5 players (+coach & sub) regardless of if they're in challengers or CDL.

If scump had a team in challengers the league viewership would undoubtedly be split (my estimate would be 60-40 with 40% watching the CDL) could huntsman (not optic) afford 5 inflated salaries in a smaller market than the CDL I'm not so sure
