Optical Rotatory Dispersion and Circular Dichroism (ORD and CD)- (Part-1/3)

CD and ORD is a type of Spectroscopy which is based on the polarisation of light by the polarizer. The first part deals with ORD. An ORD is a technique which measures the ability of an optically active compound to rotate the plane polarised light into clockwise (Right handed)or in an anticlockwise (Left handed) Direction. The instrument which measures an ORD is known as Spectropolarimeter.
