Why can't Marinette use the same miraculouses but mix them around with the owners? Like kagami gets the turtle one, nino gets the horse one and so forth. According to the story, when you transform, there is this magic barrier that doesn't let anyone figure out who you are. So wouldn't the same apply here?

How is Natalie useless again? She has been loyal to Gabriel for so long, even before he was Hawk Moth/Shadow Moth. She's sitting in bed because she's deeply injured because she tried to help him so much. Yes she might've only come up with the plan of a sentimonster following the other miraculous holders now but that's not her fault, if she didn't think of it until now, Gabriel should've instead, so they're both at fault.

Its a combination of both. She's way too intelligent to not be following the holders for a period of time and not make a logic tree about who Ladybug is. She could have just been like: "Weird. Most of these holders go to the same school and are the same class. Why is X student sitting next to the turtle holder, the fox holder, and horse holder" and go from there.

I'm pretty sure the meaning behind the episode name "Optygami"(season 4 episode 13) is optical, as in see, like how the sentimonster goes into an object and sees with its eyes. The gami part is not for Kagami and it is short for origami(Japanese paper folding art). The sentimonster was a paper butterfly/akuma. The name Optygami is a commination of both.

Honestly, I'm not sure why all the miraculous holders (with the exception of Chloe) couldn't keep their miraculous after the events of "Miracle Queen" Hawkmoth (Shadowmoth now) pretty much knows all of their identities and is obviously going to hunt them down whenever he gets the chance. So, why not let them keep the one and only tool that could help them in an emergency? No, their identities don't have to be revealed to each other (though I think it would help in some cases) and I do get the idea of the miraculous being powerful items, and the Kwami's being powerful as well. If in the wrong hands, that could cause a lot of damage. Also, while Marinette does have good judgement most of the time, these are still kids at the end of the day; I get it but even the Power Rangers (Who are usually teenagers, by the way) carry around their morphers for that very reason, in case you need to use your powersuit to fight the forces of evil. The wearer needs to be taught to respect the power they have and learn to discipline themselves to not use it for personal gain. In that way, I get why she needs to take the miraculous back whenever the mission is done, to put into the Miraculous box but wouldn't it be better to gather the holders and actually teach them what Ladybug and Chat Noir know? They could be mentors and teach the other holders how to use their powers responsibly through training sessions. Not to mention the fact that the transform times can last longer the more they use the miraculous responsibly. This limitation, only giving someone else a miraculous for one mission, it always fit because the situation fit for the inclusion of another holder but we're at the point now where you need all hands on deck. Attacks can happen anywhere and to anyone. These other holders have friends, family and people they care about too. They can't keep waiting for Ladybug to arrive with what they need, eventually that's not going to happen. If anything, it will give them a chance to defend themselves better at least. As for Marinette giving Alya her miraculous permanently? I don't agree with this decision in light of what happened in this episode. If this were another episode, I would have agreed with the decision but Alya did make some crucial mistakes...then again, if both Ladybug and Chat Noir had acted as mentors for these people, that probably wouldn't have happened. Honestly, I know it's going to sound bad but I do like seeing these characters make mistakes and fail to some degree. They are all still too inexperienced to be heroes in many aspects. Being a hero is about more than having a kind heart, helping people and having the power to fight against evil. Your mind also needs to be trained and conditioned to understand how to make the "right" choice too. Time might have passed but we still see both Ladybug and Chat Noir making mistakes in battle; simple ones that can change the outcome to something disastrous if they don't get their acts together. Yes, they usually do work well as a team and win in the end but sometimes it just feels like more could be done to make the transition smoother. It is very lucky that Ladybug's power does revert damage and makes everything better...but what if it didn't? What if there was a limit to that power? As good as Master Fu was, he didn't properly train Marinette or Adrien on how to use the miraculous at all. His age and body were limited in showing them the ropes, I get that but it's very obvious that they always needed guidance. Now that she is the guardian of the box, Marinette has way more to think about before going into battle too. It's like giving someone the entire armory when they've only started mastering their own weapon. I mean, it's taken Marinette this long to realise that she has the power to create. Ayla had to be the one to tell her that, her only limit was herself when she felt helpless to protect people from being Akumatised...something she should have been able to do before now. I know, I know, there wouldn't be much story if you didn't have people to transform into the enemy of the week but still, my point is that neither Marinette or Adrien, or anyone else has learned how to tap into their powers in any significant way.

I am seeing a pattern in these 4 seasons now and it’s a very bad pattern. How is it that making a superhero that is barely ever allowed to shine a good thing? Specially after the yin yang symbolism? He has to suck so she could shine and that’s horrible just cheap pandering to Ladybug. That’s a horrible message. They gave him night vision , super hearing and smelling , sharp claws and cat like reflexes yet they never let him use them. Ladybug summons a fork with her lucky charm to slide on glass and distract villains when Cat Noir is right there just looking with his sharp claws that could have don the job without her lucky charm. He has the cat like reflexes yet she’s the better physical fighter that always wins with better reflexes even against him. They make her the smart one, they make her the creative one , they make her the leader, they make her the stronger one , they make her the one with more powers , they make her the one with all the decisions ... they make her the brain and the strength... what is left for him?! Where is the yin and yang? Now they are taking him completely out of fights too ... how is that good?! How is the cheap and horrible pandering good in anyway? It’s not. The writers told me something but they are presenting something different to me. I don’t appreciate being lied to. I cam to watch a superhero show with partners, two main characters that are supposedly yin and yang. That’s not what I’m watching, specially when Cat Noir is treated worse than a sidekick.

Chat Noir still has his uses though, it’s largely just in the emotional support department. I agree that we should see more fighting from him, but there are still many chances for him to be more important in the future. And considering that Chat doesn’t take his duties seriously anyway, it makes sense that he is reckless and not a serious fighter. His current isolation is also being done intentionally for the plot.

Also, being reckless is completely different from being brainless. The writers are clearly just pandering and dumping the male character down for the sake of that cheap pandering. they degrade him and make him a laughing stock like cataclysming the bubble just to fall into another one , like kicking the miraculous box like it’s a soccer ball and leaving the villains to get it. Like giving his cheek to Chameleon knowing full well they will take his power if they kiss him even though every human on earth would have used their hands to push someone not their cheek but the writers just want to get rid of him so Ladybug can take the fight alone. Like in Evilillestrator when the villain covers them with a box , I mean anyone would push up when you cover them with something including animals yet the writers pretended Cat Noir is so stupid to the point he will just pock the box as if that would do anything of course all that so Marinette can tell him how to use his own baton because he’s so stupid he doesn’t know how to use his own powers. Ladybug/Marinette should tell him every now and then how to use his own powers . In Shanghai Special they made him jump into lasers for no reason whatsoever because they wanted to get rid of him so Ladybug and Fei can have the fight for themselves. I can go on and on and on …. It’s a waste to barely develop such a layered and complex character and downplay all the themes surrounding him by presenting it in 2 to 5 minutes every 12 episodes. He’s a main character that’s treated like a side character... sometimes worse. I still can’t forgive the writers for Reflektdoll specially when they branded his job as”easy”. Adrien finds the miraculous book but Marinette is the one who learned about the lore. Master Fu didn’t care to eve build a relationship with Adrien nor cared to guide him in anyway, he only cared about Marinette. They never allow him to grow as a superhero and just exists so Marinette can tell him when to use his cataclysm or how to use his stick or to make mistakes but the writers never allows him to correct and shine above those mistakes . It’s very weird that they made sure they put him down even as an adult superhero where Bunix gushes over Ladybug and puts down Cat Noir for his mistakes ( telling us not to even dream about a better treatment because it’s still the same in the future). It’s very weird how they made sure to send this message by letting Ladybug question Bunix and say “If I am so great then why do we have a villain like that from the future “ and Bunix’s answer is “It wasn’t your fault it was Cat Noir’s” .... I don’t think I have ever watched or read such weird writing just for the sake of pandering.If the writers sidelined Adrien even in the Agreste plot and the whole HM thing I think it will be the last straw for me.

The one thing that drives me mad is the fans stupidly saying Marinette shouldn’t go because she would have been found out as ladybug. They don’t realize the real truth. Believe or not Marinette made a big move. She’s technically one-up on Shadow Moth. Fans don’t get it. An upcoming fashion designer refusing a private invitation to an event by the two top fashion icons in the world who have both acknowledged she has potential would be highly suspicious. And then this: Shadow Moth: Marinette didn’t show up. Nattilie: she should be here. Shadow Moth: maybe she is ladybug? They don’t realize that if Marinette refused to go that would have been a path to exposing her identity. She had no choice in the matter but to go. And that elevator scene was a makeshift plan. To us it looked like the reveal is coming. But fans tend to forget that ADRIEN IS A FAMOUS MODEL. So Gabriel assume Marinette was just another fan girl trying to tell Adrien that she is in love with him. So aka not important. This puts marinette under the radar like Gabriel ageste did in the collector episode. Marinette probably has figured out that shadow Moth knows Alya is special. So Marinette gives the fox miraculous away to Alya as bait.

Accidently is an understatement. Ever since Nino became Carapice he's always been not all there and Alya would have done infinitely better not dating someone who is in her class who she didn't really like to begin with. He cannot handle the idea of girl time with Marinette, her best friend. He can't handle the idea that another guy is close to her even though its obvious there's nothing going on. He blabbs to Adrien the moment he feels threatened about his identity as a superhero. He reveals Rena Furtive to everyone where if he were doing what he really needed to do he could have prevented crap from happening if Shellter was at the ready. I cannot stand the guy and if the fate of a secret was put into his hand or if he felt like a HS love interest was in jeopardy he would kill everyone immediately in spite of the fact that his power is the power of protection

I think it makes sense that Mari would give Alya the Fox permanently at that moment. Mostly for Alya's own protection. She'd be able to protect her and immediately transform instead of having to go to Mari's place for the box every time. Also, it would prevent another situation like having to use Kalki like that if Mari gets stuck again. Rena would be available to hold the akuma off until LB and CN are available. I know she gets a bad dream about it and goes to take it back in the future but for now, it makes sense. The only thing I'm iffy on is if Mari knows that HM knows all the holder's identities. She definitely still calls on them early in the season so I'm not sure when she's gonna stop once it's confirmed that HM knows.

Also there are only two possible scenarios: 1- Alya told Marinette (offscreen) that Nino was calling for her when she found him to give him the miraculous. In this case, the sentimonster was after Alya from their perspective, because he was calling for her. And they knew this had to be sentimonster because there was always someone from this point on with Nino. 2- Alya didn't tell Ladybug how the events played out inside the tower and from what Marinette knows, senti Nino was trying to get close to Alya so she would give him a Miraculous. Even if Marinette deduces senti Nino was just trying to get Alya to be turned to dust, that is already a proof Hawkmoth was after the holders. So either way Marinette has reasons to believe Hawkmoth was using previous holder whose identities he knew. Therefore, yes you are clearly watching a different show. Also keep in mind, Marinette is supposed to be smart. Edit: From what you say, senti Nino was already after LB. So what tells Marinette the next sentimonster wont be Alya? This in other way already shows telling Alya she was LB was a bad idea in the first Place? What if Senti Alya is created and Marinette says something that reveals her identity?

I think earlier in the series Hawkmoth thought his son was chat noir so he had him yeeted off a building until he got to his senses then had the akumatized villan save him. Also the first time she combined miraculouses she did a whole act of purposely revealing herself as Multi Mouse in front of Chat Noir. But I'm not sure if Hawkmoth saw that reveal as well. If so it would make sense he doesnt care for those two. Then again I could be misremembering or that whole idea was axed.

To be honest the Lucky Charm isn’t really just “dumb luck” it seems to predict almost exactly what’s gonna happen in the future. Ladybug may obviously summon the lucky charm to defeat the villain, but if the lucky charms thinks that there is a bigger danger than the villain, then it will predict her and give her something else. Here the lucky charm gave her a mirror, in Oblivio it gave her lipstick (to write on a wall) and in Mayura it gave her a reflective box. This power is a real mistery

The only thing that angers me about this episode besides the Chat Noir neglect is they keep actively breaking lore rules. Like season 1 it was established that Kwami's couldn't manifest themselves without somebody putting on their jewelry. It's even still used as a device to interrupt Plagg and Tikki at inconvenient times or give dramatic moments to the next time Chat decides to renounce his Miraculous again. Like, can they still appear when not being worn or not, make up your minds. Also sidenote: If Ladybug can so easily just unify the Miraculous' together than what is the actual point of her ever calling on the others. Master Fu said it was dangerous to use multiple Miraculous' at a time, but we never got to see the consequences or even slight repercussions. Like at least make it a rule or something that it's impossible to have two Miraculous' at the same time and you would need to renounce one in order to use another or have it take a toll on the users body.

What would have been cool imo is if we saw her trying to make the optigami in different episodes and finally succeding in the episode before this. Or have a scene in an episode with a board where shadowmoth has the faces of the miraculous holders to try to make a plan like the crazy board in that one meme to explain why the events happened so perfectly, like him figuring out the best person to akumatize 3:08 if i was gabe i would have thought that it was one of the teachers like miss buestiae. 6:38 SPOILERS but it seems consistent that kagami is the first to try to help if shes in contact with an akumatized villan after she got her powers. cus in gabriel she tries to stop him after the sentimonster version of him attacks. 10:03 with the meathead kim is i assumed he was trying to run up while they were running down so he was forced down and had to run back up again 11:45 maybe its because it is magic tech she can see it. It prevents technology from seeing it but since the display is as a result of magic and not like a signal it can be seen? thats my idea anyway. 14:25 it is not fair. i guess the idea is that she was super lucky that she was able to catch it in the mirror? it would have made more sense if she tried to use her "vision" again and saw the mirror and nino with spots covering and turned to ponder. that would set up that both the mirror and nino are still needed. but i guess the idea that it was just luck through the mystical power of the lucky charm like marinette says at the end makes sense too. still it feels pretty cheap that way.

My biggest problem is I don’t think the kwami should appear in the call. At this point technologies never been able to hear or see them. We even see Marinette FaceTime her friends her freaking out and telling them that she made squishy‘s only for Tikki on FaceTime to say they can’t see us. The kwami being able to call Marinette on the phone it implies that they should’ve also been able to hear tikki on FaceTime which they couldn’t. It only makes sense to text her. also in the New York special uncanny valley couldn’t hear plagg by the logic of the call she should’ve been able to.

It’s a waste to barely develop such a layered and complex character and downplay all the themes surrounding him by presenting it in 2 to 5 minutes every 12 episodes. He’s a main character that’s treated like a side character... sometimes worse. I still can’t forgive the writers for Reflektdoll specially when they branded his job as”easy”. Adrien finds the miraculous book but Marinette is the one who learned about the lore. Master Fu didn’t care to eve build a relationship with Adrien nor cared to guide him in anyway, he only cared about Marinette. They never allow him to grow as a superhero and just exists so Marinette can tell him when to use his cataclysm or how to use his stick or to make mistakes but the writers never allows him to correct and shine above those mistakes . It’s very weird that they made sure they put him down even as an adult superhero where Bunix gushes over Ladybug and puts down Cat Noir for his mistakes ( telling us not to even dream about a better treatment because it’s still the same in the future). It’s very weird how they made sure to send this message by letting Ladybug question Bunix and say “If I am so great then why do we have a villain like that from the future “ and Bunix’s answer is “It wasn’t your fault it was Cat Noir’s” .... I don’t think I have ever watched or read such weird writing just for the sake of pandering.If the writers sidelined Adrien even in the Agreste plot and the whole HM thing I think it will be the last straw for me.

It's their bullshit about " strong female character". The writers think that in order to have a female protagonist they need to have a male dumb character to compare to Marinette and to blame all her mistakes on him. It's seriously dumb. The fact Master Fuu never bothered to tell Adrien about the Miraculouses is sickening. What did Ladybug do that Cat Noir didn't? He was always there and always gave 100%. Yet, he had to be lied to to the point where he was so fed up he wanted to quit. Only then, did he have the privilege of being told something. Reflektdoll could have easily bring light to the fact that as Cat Noir, he needs to constantly protect Ladybug because only she can revert the damage. This could have been easily played out with Marinette stressing as Lady Noir over the protection of Adrien as Mister Bug, ultimate realising his job is very stressful as well. Also, Marinette could have felt the pressure of having the power of destroying the world in her hands when cataclysm is used. It could have been shown her fear of misusing the power and accidentally destroying everything. But no, she did everything flawlessly and still did Mister Bug's job for him.

He completely ignored him and that stupid line about “time” was as stupid as him completely neglecting Adrien. Also, Marinette wasn’t a guardian back then nor did master Fu think about it back then. Adrien/Cat Noir has been treated badly by the writers since season 1. It’s not something new and now in season 4 they even made Alya the second in command. Cat Noir is not even allowed to be her second in command. Just like Master Fu treated him as unworthy of the knowledge and neglected now Ladybug is doing the same.
