Says more about the failures of some of the character designs in this game. Like yeah some players may be considered one of the best of a game, but if said game just so happened to have some of the most egregiously designed characters and someone racks up many wins with said busted character, does it really even mean anything?

​@@riotron1026 So how come modders aren't trying to just improve Ultimate? Whenever I hear about mods it's usually for giggles, aesthetics, adding characters, or trying to turn it into Melee. But never to just "balance" or "polish" Ultimate as is.

@@Whirlybird88 The problem with balancing via modding is that when it comes to games being considered legitimate, it has to be on vanilla software with the games developers being the authority figures granting said legitimacy leaving the community having to rely on them for any balance changes to the game. As far as game modders so there is no such legitimacy. It’s just random dudes altering the game, there is so central figure to call the shots on what gets changed or not so it’d be a Wild West situation where everyone would want buffs and nerfs out the ass, some legitimate, many not so much. Also trying to get a community to agree on buffs and nerfs made by those in said community like modders would likely be a nightmare.
